  • Patent number: 11532922
Abstract: A Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) including a light emitting III-nitride active region including quantum wells (QWs), wherein each of the quantum wells have a thickness of more than 8 nm, a cavity length of at least 7 ?, or at least 20 ?, where lambda is a peak wavelength of the light emitted from the active region, layers with reduced surface roughness, a tunnel junction intracavity contact. The VCSEL is flip chip bonded using In—Au bonding. This is the first report of a VCSEL capable of continuous wave operation.

  • Publication number: 20190002966
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a computer-implemented method of determining a probability of a fetal chromosomal abnormality, the method comprising determining data indicative of a first parameter for a target chromosome and a second parameter representative of chromosome sequence density from a biological sample obtained from a female subject, determining a likelihood ratio indicative of fetal chromosomal abnormality, wherein the likelihood ratio is determined as a ratio between a probability of chromosomal abnormality and a probability of chromosomal normality according to respective abnormality and normality models based on the first and second parameters, determining one or more performance parameter thresholds, and comparing an estimate of one or more performance parameters associated with the sample against the one or more performance parameter thresholds.

  • Patent number: 6535629
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for storing and/or transmitting 3D image information comprising the steps of: producing an image to be stored and/or transmitted comprising an array of strongly correlated neighbouring sub-images; casting the sub-images on to a pixel screen capturing the sub-images as electronic data; compressing the electronic data by eliminating redundancies associated with the sub-images; storing and/or transmitting the compressed data; the compression being reversible so as to expand the data to re-create the sub-images for viewing as a 3D image through an optical viewing system comprising a microlens or lenticular array.
