  • Patent number: 4780092
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing (51, 72) in which terminals (11, 71) are mounted in upper and lower rows with wire connecting portions (14, 82) of the terminals (11, 71) in longitudinally staggered relation aligned below a tool receiving opening (57) in the housing (51, 72) enabling a tool inserted through the opening (57) to terminate wires in both wire connecting portions (14, 82). The wire connecting portions (14, 82) define wire receiving slots (32) in panels (33) which have struts (39) extending into engagement with the housing (51, 72) during wire insertion to prevent collapse of the panels (33).

  • Patent number: 4582378
Abstract: A male electrical connector for mating with a female electrical connector has a latch arm with a spur for engaging in an opening in the female electrical connector. For separating the connectors the male connector has an ejector bar pivoted thereto. When the bar is depressed, the central part thereof depresses the latch arm to disengage the spur from the opening and camming heads on the ends of the bar engage end walls of the connector to lift the connector therefrom. The ejector bar has a central cam surface, and a camming head at each end having a trunnion for releasably connecting the bar to the male connector.

  • Patent number: 4478470
Abstract: In an electrical contact for mating with a flat tab male contact and comprising a receptacle portion (1) for receiving the male tab and a wire connection portion (2) the whole being stamped and formed from a single piece of sheet metal, the receptacle portion (1) comprising a base (5) and a pair of opposed side walls (6) upstanding from the base (5), free edge portions (7, 8) of the side walls (6) being turned in over the base (5) whereby the base (5), side walls (6) and free edge portions (7, 8) together define a passage to receive from one end a flat tab male contact, one free edge portion (8) is used for establishing an electrical connection to a mated tab while the other free edge portion (7) is used primarily to establish a releasable locked mechanical connection to the mated tab.
