  • Publication number: 20240075304
Abstract: A medical device includes wake circuitry and telemetry circuitry. The wake circuitry is configured to receive a first set of data from a device associated with the medical device, where the first set of data is received at a frequency band. The wake circuitry is configured to output a set of pulses based on the first set of data. The wake circuitry is configured to detect a data pattern using the set of pulses. The wake circuitry is configured to output an activation signal in response to a determination that the data pattern satisfies a data pattern requirement. The telemetry circuitry is configured to output a second set of data in response to receiving the activation signal. The second set of data is transmitted at the frequency band. The telemetry circuitry is configured to establish a communication session with the device using the second set of data.

  • Patent number: 7522060
Abstract: An integrated, multi-function management system and method that allows criminal justice professionals and criminal justice agencies to enhance the efficiency and quality of their operations. The method includes a unique framework of one or more agency customized protocols that guides and assists the process by which criminal justice professionals carry out their supervision responsibilities for the offender caseload. The method further includes case configuration for individual offenders, infraction handling for individual or groups of infractions, sanction/response handling using multiple factors to determine if a subject should have their case conditions change, case review information that uses business rules to draw attention to important matters, and alert/report processing that assures that the right individuals are notified of case status changes so that they can act in a timely way.

  • Publication number: 20030066925
Abstract: Paper mill cores of the invention are structured to allow winding and unwinding chucks to distort the interior diameter and shape of the interior body wall of the core while resisting distortion of the core exterior to prevent center burst failure. The paper mill cores of the invention include a multi-ply zone of high strength, but relatively compliant, paperboard plies within the outer 70% (based on the total body wall thickness) of the body wall having a thickness of at least about 4 mm. An interior zone constituting at least about 25% of the total thickness of the body wall is formed from extremely high strength, extremely high density paperboard plies. The overall wall thickness of the core is preferably at least about 15 mm, and is thus preferably increased, as compared to the wall thickness of conventional high strength wide paper mill cores formed entirely of extremely high strength, extremely high density, non-compliant paperboard plies.

  • Patent number: 5393582
Abstract: The invention provides multi-grade spirally wound paperboard tubes of enhanced flat crush strength construction. The multi-grade spirally wound paperboard tubes of the invention include a plurality of structural paperboard plies having at least two predetermined densities including a lower density and a higher density wherein the higher density is at least about 3% greater than the lower density. The cylindrical bodywall is defined in radial cross section by at least one centrally located paperboard layer disposed between at least one radially inwardly located structural paperboard layer and at least one radially outwardly located structural paperboard layer. The centrally located paperboard layer is formed from the higher density paperboard and the inwardly and outwardly located structural paperboard layers are formed from lower density paperboard.

  • Patent number: 4898678
Abstract: An apparatus and method of removing lead contaminants from drinking water wherein the apparatus includes a first lead-separator tank which receives water from an incoming line. Lead particles are allowed to settle to the bottom of the first separator tank for sequential deposit in a waste tank. A second lead-separator tank receives water from the first tank by means of a mist spray. Lead particles are further precipitated and collected at the bottom of the second tank, and again are sequentially discharged into the drain tank. The second separator tank is connected to a third separator tank, whereby water from the second separator tank is siphoned off and transferred to the third separator tank. Any remaining lead particles in the last tank are again discharged into the waste-water tank. The lead-free water in the last tank is allowed to be directed to various outlets for drinking or cooking purposes only. The remaining or waste water from the waste tank is used for various other purposes, such as washing.
