Patent number: 11580239Abstract: Access to data and resources in a multi-tenant computing system is managed by tagging the data and resources with attributes, as well as by tagging users with attributes. Tenant-specific access policies are configured. When an access request is received from a workload, a policy decision engine processes the attributes that are tagged to the requesting workload (e.g., user, application, etc.) as well as those tagged to the requested data or resource, given a relevant tenant-specific policy. An access decision is provided in response to the access request, and the access decision can be enforced by a tenant-specific enforcement system.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2019Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Daniel John Carroll, Jr., Kameshwar Jayaraman, Stuart Kwan, Kartik Tirunelveli Kanakasabesan, Shefali Gulati, Charles Glenn Jeffries, Ganesh Pandey, Roberto Carlos Taboada, Parul Manek, Steven Mark Silverberg

Patent number: 10650157Abstract: Facilities are provided to secure guest runtime environments (GREs). Security policy specifications may be associated with GREs. A GRE's security policy may be specific to the GRE and may also include security policy inherited from higher levels such as a host operating environment. The security policy of a GRE specifies restrictions and/or permissions for activities that may be performed within the scope of execution of the GRE. A GRE's security policy may limit what the GRE's guest software may do within the GRE. Restrictions/permissions may be applied to objects such as files, configuration data, and the like. Security specifications may be applied to execution initiated within a GRE. A GRE's security specification may restrict/permit executable objects from loading and executing within the GRE. The executability or accessibility of objects may be conditioned on factors such as the health/integrity of the GRE, the host system, requested files, and others.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2017Date of Patent: May 12, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Benjamin M. Publication number: 20190050560Abstract: The techniques described herein enable client APIs to be deployed within isolated computing environments while externally exposing and/or maintaining a log of computing events that the client APIs perform and/or attempt to perform within the isolated computing environments. Generally described, configurations disclosed herein enable audit parameters associated with client application programming interfaces (APIs) to be deployed within an isolated computing environment to generate a log of computing events performed by the client APIs. Ultimately, access to the log of computing events is provided externally to the isolated computing environment without exposing sensitive computing resources (e.g., a host operating system (OS)) to the various client APIs.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2017Publication date: February 14, 2019Inventors: Yolando PEREIRA, Margarit Simeonov CHENCHEV, Giridhar VISWANATHAN, Constantin Sorin OPREA, John Andrew STARKS, Kyle Patrick SABO, Douglas Evan COOK, Seth Christopher BEINHART, Charles Glenn JEFFRIES, Ankit SRIVASTAVA, Benjamin M. Patent number: 7791326Abstract: A dimmable, light-emitting diode (LED) power supply adapted to provide a direct current (DC), constant current (“constant current source”) from a conventional, phase-controlled 120 VAC, 60 Hz power source is disclosed. The constant current source of the present invention utilizes two processes to control dimming. In a first process, the phase angle of the input voltage is used to control the duty cycle of a line frequency pulse width modulation (PWM). In a second process, a proportional-current limit adjustment is used to control the average current to the LED during the ON time of the line frequency by PWM. As a result, at relatively low phase angles, peak currents can be lowered, reducing flicker and improving the audible noise levels generated by the circuit.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2007Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Mark Cobb Dahlman, John Charles Glenn

Patent number: 7607668Abstract: A caster-camber plate assembly has a fastener plate including fastening members. A lower adjustment plate has a first side face positioned adjacent a first side face of the fastener plate such that fastening members of the fastening plate extend therethrough. The lower adjustment plate is moveable with respect to the fastener plate along first and second translation axes. An upper adjustment plate has a first side face thereof positioned adjacent a second side face of the lower adjustment plate with the fastening members extending therethrough. The upper adjustment plate and the lower adjustment plate are jointly configured for allowing the upper adjustment plate to be moveable with respect to the fastener plate along the second translation axis. A plate interlocking structure accommodates relative movement between the adjustment plates along the first translation axis and effectively inhibits relative movement between the adjustment plates along the second translation axis.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2007Date of Patent: October 27, 2009Assignee: Maximum MotorsportsInventors: Luka Dugandzic, Charles Glenn Schwynoch, John David Fabry, Michael Alan Smith

Patent number: 4031325Abstract: This invention pertains to systems servicing coin operated telephones and, more specifically, to apparatus in such systems for preventing called party fraud in simulating coin deposit signals. During intermediate coin deposit periods, the network connection between the calling and called stations is split into calling and called portions and then these portions are extended and reconnected. A filter is inserted in the extended called station portion to attenuate fraudulent coin deposit signals originating from the called station. A coin tone detector connected to the extended calling station portion is still actuated by valid coin deposit signals from the calling station, but does not detect the attenuated fraudulent signals.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 1976Date of Patent: June 21, 1977Assignee: Bell Telephone Laboratories, IncorporatedInventors: Ronald Michael Dudonis, Charles Glenn Morrison, Robert Lawrence Potter, Kenneth Streisand
