  • Patent number: 4569448
Abstract: An expandable storage system for securely storing materials of various shapes and sizes in an organized, easily identifiable and accessible manner. One or more rows of support members are removeably secured upon a panel so that their positions on the panel may be easily changed in order to secure materials of varying sizes and shapes. A resilient upper support member applies downward pressure on stored materials so that they are held securely against the other support members in order to minimize movement. Additional panels may be quickly added to the system by snapping hinge members to the panel edge and connecting those hinge members, by gravity support, to hinge members on an adjacent panel. Locations are provided for labels and other information relating to stored materials, with no separate space required for the label location. The storage system may be removeably mounted on a structural surface during use and may be secured in a closed configuration similar to a suitcase for transporting.

  • Patent number: 4562707
Abstract: A locking system for the type outboard motor assembly to a boat transom that is held by bolting through a motor mounting plate and through the boat transom includes: (a) the bolting being by round headed bolts with preferably non-circular section necks to prevent gripping the head and turning the bolts, (b) nuts on the forward face of the transom securing the bolts, (c) shielded perforate threaded collars on the free ends of the bolts and jamming tightly against the nuts, (d) a headed perforate stud through the perforations in the shielded perforate threaded collars to prevent them from being turned and (e) a padlock through one or more perforations in the free end of the headed perforate stud outboard the adjacent shielded perforate threaded collars to pervent unauthorized removal of the headed perforate stud.

  • Patent number: 4439666
Abstract: An electrical heating system for use in heating surfaces. A heating element is constructed of mesh screen comprised of nonferrous, small gauge metal wires which are spaced in a cloth mesh arrangement such that the total surface area of the wires is substantially equal to or greater than the adjacent area of the surface to be heated. The heating element is positioned substantially parallel to and adjacent the surface to be heated. The heating system includes electronic circuitry which essentially eliminates transmission of power surges, voltage spikes and chatter when the heating system is connected to an alternating current power source. The heating system also includes protective circuits and devices for preventing injury or damage due to transformer overheating, or due to under-current or over-current conditions. An optional electronic circuit permits use of the device for preventing formation of ice on surfaces in an efficient and economical manner.

  • Patent number: 3976314
Abstract: A coupler or fitting for connecting ductile tubes or pipes includes a coupler body having one or more ports therein, and a ferrule which is friction-fitted within each port, the ferrule having a radially-inward flaring lip for biting into and locking a tube inserted therein and for creating a seal between the tube and the body, and a radially-outward flaring lip for biting into and locking the ferrule within the body.
