  • Patent number: 6499929
Abstract: An elevated inverted cone product storage hopper having an enclosed volume with a central opening at the bottom. A dust-free transfer system removes and delivers stored product from the storage hopper through a hopper unloader. The unloader has a converging frustoconical transition body which continues from the inverted cone toward a bottom discharge port. An elongated delivery auger system coupled to the unloader comprises an elongated horizontal barrel having a delivery screw for rotation about its axis for moving product to a product delivery opening. A flexible enclosed delivery tube is coupled to the delivery opening, with the delivery tube having a compliant exterior shell for accommodating free axial length adjustment thereof. The hopper and the delivery auger are rotatable for positioning the auger barrel and enclosed delivery tube radially relative to the storage hopper.

  • Patent number: 5611392
Abstract: A power fluid heating system according to this invention includes a heating apparatus positioned within a power fluid container having a first power fluid pickup conduit, a second power fluid pickup conduit positioned within the first power fluid pickup conduit, and a heat exchanger for directly heating both the power fluid in the container and the power fluid in the first and second pickup conduits. The power fluid heating system also includes a water separating device. The water separating device includes a power fluid reservoir and a heat exchanger inside the reservoir. The power fluid heating system also includes a heat exchanger having heat exchange fluid medium passages for the flow of a heatable fluid through the passages so that the heated power fluid exiting the water separating device provides heat transfer to the heatable fluid.

  • Patent number: 5423373
Abstract: A system for controlling the temperature of a power fluid comprising a temperature responsive mechanical manifold which automatically bypasses a heating or cooling heat exchange medium from flow into a heat exchange conduit in a reservoir tank and around a power fluid intake conduit. Improved heat rise within the power fluid intake conduit is accomplished by a baffle assembly. The bypassing of heat exchange medium from the heat exchange conduit is controlled by the fuel temperature sensed proximate the outlet end of the power fluid intake conduit.

  • Patent number: 5069062
Abstract: An apparatus connectable to fluid containing operating systems which creates a vacuum effect upon the fluid in the operating system during repairs and maintenance. The apparatus also permits pressure testing of the repairs and maintenance to the operating system without removal of the apparatus therefrom.
