    Abstract: The control system for attachment to a collective lever in a rotorcraft which comprises a body with an extended horn portion which is generally contoured to provide for a place to rest the palm and grip the collective lever at the end in the form of an open spherical grip as opposed to the more traditional cylindrical grip used to grasp the throttle and/or collective lever directly. The control system generally includes a plurality of controls which can be manipulated by any or all of the four fingers of the hand and the thumb without need to substantially move the palm. The collective lever can also be moved without having to remove the hand from the control system or the fingers or thumb from the controls.

An application monitoring device monitors one or more networked devices that collectively run an IPTV application and various other applications. The application monitoring device determines the amount of network bandwidth used by these various other applications. If the applications use sufficient bandwidth that an insufficient amount remains for proper operation of the IPTV application, the application monitoring device may reduce the amount of bandwidth used by the various applications. Bandwidth reduction may be accomplished by, for example, identifying certain applications that consume excessive bandwidth, and instructing the applications to close, throttle their bandwidth usage, or pause one or more operations.

    Abstract: A method and system that archive a three-dimensional site in a highly-compact manner such that real-time, three-dimensional exploration and interaction with the site with high-resolution graphics is enabled. During authoring, information is collected about a site, and processed into a walkmap comprising a number of maps. A visibility map indicates which ones of the many polygons that make up a site are potentially visible from a given region. A collision map establishes where a can navigate in the site. A ground map tracks the terrain for reproducing camera heights and viewing angles, and a trigger map causes scripts to be fired from locations in the site. During navigation, only the maps relevant to a user's current position are active, whereby rapid rendering of an appropriate image for the user's current perspective is possible in real-time, providing a first person, perspective tour of the site in a perceived three-dimensional environment.
