Abstract: The present invention relates to a garage door screen assembly for covering a garage opening comprising: a cylindrical enclosure, where said enclosure is positioned above the opening; a tracking assembly on each side of the opening; a retractable screen, where said screen is stored within the enclosure when a retracted position and said screen extends downwardly over the opening when in a released position, where said tracking assembly guides the screen between the retracted position and the released position. In one exemplary embodiment, the screen is spring loaded within the enclosure and may include a handle attached to the screen, where said handle provides a means to move the screen between the retracted position and the released position. In another exemplary embodiment, the screen covers the entire garage opening.

Abstract: An integrated gas strut actuator strut assembly particularly adapted for providing power actuation of a motor vehicle lift gate or other opening closure. The system integrates the function of a counterbalancing gas spring and that of a electrically powered actuator. The system incorporates a strut assembly including a gas charged cylinder, and internal plunger and a threaded rod. Rotation of the threaded rod through a cable drive system causes the internal plunger to be advanced or retracted within the cylinder. Another feature of the invention are various embodiments of couplers between the gas cylinder plunger and rod and connectors for the assembly to the vehicle.

Abstract: A window regulator for use with a horizontally sliding window assembly has a channel-like guide rail, an elongated carrier plate slidingly movable along the guide rail, and a cable drive mechanism for moving the carrier plate along the guide rail. Pane engagement pairs are disposed at opposite ends of the carrier plate, each comprising a male feature and a mating female feature. One of the features of each pair is secured to the carrier plate and the mating feature is secured to the sliding pane adjacent an outboard edge thereof. The male/female engagement between the features allows the sliding pane and the carrier plate to move relative to one another along an axis generally perpendicular to the sliding pane, while the two-point engagement between the pane and the carrier plate serves to stabilize the pane and allow it to slide smoothly even if the guide tracks for the sliding pane and the guide rail are less than perfectly flat and parallel to one another.
