Abstract: A modular system for office furniture comprising a sufficient number of three types of modules, each corresponding to one or more of the following functions: a "working surface" function, a "support" function, a "storage" function, and an "electrical wire guiding function." The first module, a "table top module," provides a working surface which performs the "working surface" function. It comprises three sections, two end sections and a middle connecting section, and is supported by the second and third modules. The end sections of the first table top module each rest on a second "support" module which performs both the "support" and "storage functions." The third module is a column having upper and lower portions and performs both the "electrical wire guiding" and support functions." The upper portion contains the electrical wires of all hardware and appliances distributed on the table top module and the lower supports the middle section of the first table top module.

Abstract: An ergonomic chair having a movable, bendable chair back, which offers improved comfort and adjustability. The structure includes a series of rearward opening grooves in the chair back. This structure allows limited back flexibility. The chair also includes a mehcanism for adjusting the force needed to move the back, and another mechanism which limits the back's movement. Similar structure includes a seat which can slide forward and backward.

Abstract: Semi-rigid structure which ability to the unidirectional deformation can be controlled, and particularly utilizable in the making of "ergonomic" seats, characterized in that it consists in a succession of parallel blocks 5 of rigid material joined together by narrow webs (7) of thinner and/or more flexible material, the deformation of the structure resulting from the pressing of all the webs, such a pressing being limited by ribs 8 placed inside the foresaid webs.

Abstract: A movable room divider or partition is provided with a raceway for communication cables, and other casual wiring. The raceway comprises a U-shaped channel connected with the partition and extending along and beneath the base of the partition. The channel has a rigid web for supporting the cables, and a pair of upstanding flanges with free edges disposed adjacent the partition base to enclose the raceway. At least one of the flanges is resiliently flexible to permit localized, elastic deformation of the flange for inserting and withdrawing the cables from the raceway.
