    Abstract: Amino alkyl 2-anilino nicotinates of the formula: ##SPC1##In which A is CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 or CH.sub.2 C(CH.sub.3).sub.2, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are both methyl or together with the adjacent nitrogen make up a piperidino, morpholino or N-methylpiperazino ring, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are both hydrogen or are both methyl in positions 2 and 3 or 2 and 6 of the phenyl nucleus or R.sub.3 is chlorine in position 2, 3 or 5 and R.sub.4 is methyl in position 2, 4 or 6 of the phenyl nucleus and their acid addition salts, made by reaction of the corresponding amino alkyl chloride with an alkali metal salt of the appropriate 2-anilino nicotinic acid, have interesting analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and psychotropic properties.
