Abstract: Systems and methods for networking or interacting with users of a network are described that utilize elements presented on a user device. Each element preferably presents information about a user associated with the element and can be a link to additional information about that user. The elements can be presented on or using the user device based on information received from a server, which can analyze a location of the user relative to other users in a real or virtual world and compare information about the users to determine a likelihood that each pair of users may be a match. The analysis can be based on characteristics of the users as well as user input such as preferences and so forth. The potential matches can be presented to the user.

Abstract: An improved method of shipping and installing a new hard drive in a computer comprising the steps of packaging a new hard drive in an improved static dissipation bag having a conductive coating on its exterior surface; boxing the packaged new hard drive in a shock-absorbing medium within a transportation box, connecting the new hard drive to the computer, transferring the data from the computer to the new hard drive, disconnecting the new hard drive from the computer, grounding the static dissipation bag to the computer and to an operator, removing the new hard drive from the bag and transportation box, and installing it in the computer.

Abstract: An improved method of installing a new hard drive in a computer comprising packaging a new hard drive with a connected hard drive connector assembly having a hard drive PCMCIA connector in a static dissipation bag having a conductive coating on its exterior surface; grounding the static dissipation bag by connecting the bag to the computer and to an operator, extending the PCMCIA connector outside the bag, connecting the new hard drive via the PCMCIA connector to the PCMCIA or equivalent port of a computer, transferring the data on the computer to the new hard drive, disconnecting the PCMCIA connector from the computer, removing the new hard drive from the static dissipation bag, disconnecting the hard drive connector assembly from the new hard drive, and installing the new hard drive in the computer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing glass, and apparatus for effecting same, which comprises passing flue gases from a glass melting furnace through a bed of agglomerates of glass forming batch materials so as to heat the agglomerates to a temperature less than that at which they form an aggregated mass, cooling the flue gases as they pass through the bed with a heat exchanger positioned in the bed, and then melting the heated batch materials in a fossil fuel fired melter to form molten glass. The heat transfer medium of the indirect heat exchanger then is transported to a predryer to dry the agglomerates before they are fed to the preheat hopper.
