    Abstract: Systems and apparatuses are disclosed for a portable light having a modular base. In one embodiment, a portable light having a modular base comprises a housing portion and a modular base portion. The housing portion may comprise a light source, power source, and lens. The modular base portion may comprise a mounting portion, and the modular base portion is configured to removably connect to the housing portion. The housing portion is further configured to operatively connect to the modular base portion through a deformable fabric, such that the housing portion is rotatable relative to the modular base portion when the housing portion is operatively connected to the modular base portion through a deformable fabric.
