  • Patent number: 5752216
Abstract: In an air traffic control system, an in-line, data cable interface is disclosed for air traffic control signals which provides data access for use by an external computer system while preventing the disruption of the existing air traffic control signals. The interface provides non-intrusive data access even when the conductors of the data cable interface are short circuited. An external computer system has an associated software program capable of compiling received signals from the in-line data cable interface together with signals from other data sources and displaying the signals in, upon instructions of the user, hexadecimal form, polar graphical form or table form or recording the data onto computer or floppy disk. The air traffic control data is compared with data from another source such as a noise detector to monitor aircraft noise.

  • Patent number: 4936837
Abstract: In a urinary drainage bag, a coupler for the outlet tube including a connector mounted on the discharge end of the outlet tube and defining a rigid extension thereof receivable within a bag-mounted housing. The connector includes spring arms having locking fingers releasably engagable behind a housing shoulder upon a seating of the connector body within the housing. The fingers are selectively released through a manual manipulation of the connector arms which provide for a positive handhold on the connector as the outlet tube is released.

  • Patent number: 4727985
Abstract: A bottle (12), which has a single circular opening (12f) at the top (12e), contains a liquid (32) in a bottom chamber (12h) and a powder (26) in an upper chamber (12d). A rubber stopper (14) exists in a neck chamber (12g) between the upper (12d) and lower (12h) chambers and isolates the liquid (32) from the powder (26). The neck chamber (12g) has a smaller cross-sectional area than the lower chamber (12h). A cylindrical basket (16) with openings in the side walls (16a) sits on top of the rubber stopper (14). A cylindrical rubber dispenser plunger (18) having a sealing portion (18a) sits above the basket (16). A locking cap (22) sits on top of the dispenser plunger (18). A septum cap (24) having vent holes (24c) sits on top of the locking cap (22 ). A sealing disc (26) sits on top of the septum cap (24). A cup-like top cap (28) covers the top of the bottle (12). Shrink wrap (32) adheres to the top cap (28) and part of the outside of the bottle (12).
