    Abstract: A shopping cart in which the carriage is made principally of rectangular U-shaped channels and the basket is made of resin which on its sides are reinforced by U-shaped channel members each extending angularly up from the carriage into merged relation in a matching groove provided in the interior surface of each side of the basket. Front wheels of the carriage are swivelably mounted on a vertical shaft having a resilient securing assembly to minimize tendencies toward wobble of the wheel.
