  • Patent number: 5309712
Abstract: A rocket motor has a reloadable, reusable hollow casing which contains solid fuel, a nozzle and preferably a delay ignition cartridge and ejection charge. A nozzle gasket holds the nozzle in place at the exhaust end of the casing and a delay cartridge gasket holds the delay cartridge and ejection charge in place at the ejection charge end of the casing. The gaskets fit loosely against the casing and are deformable so that upon ignition they are pressed outward against removable flanges at each end of the casing to create a seal against the casing.
