  • Patent number: 6595755
Abstract: This axial mounting of the bottoms (5) of fan blades provides two levels of flexibility, and features rather low stiffness after using up a predetermined clearance (35) between two stop parts (32, 34), which then imposes a significant increase in stiffness; however significant energy was able to be absorbed through the elastic deformation of certain parts (7, 30) located between the blade and the disc (2), which enables the blade to withstand rather significant momentary forces, for example if a neighboring blade breaks and strikes it.

  • Patent number: 6512926
Abstract: A system for a GSM mobile telephone belonging to the network of an operator of mobiles for an intended recipient of a short message (other network of mobiles). The short message (SMS) is composed of a routing envelope with a first field (number of, the calling mobile), ct second field (number of the first short message transmission centre (SMSC) of the network of the calling mobile), a third field (number of the called mobile), as well as a field reserved for the text of the message. A numbering plan (PN) contains the numbers of the short message transmission centres and the possible interconnections between the different transmission centres (SMSC) and the switching contains (MSC) of the networks of the called parties (M1a, . . . M4a). A numbering plan manager (GPN) defines the relay transmission center or centres (SMSC) in order to reach the switching center (MSC) visited by the called party.

  • Publication number: 20030013464
Abstract: Implementation of the sending of short messages to mobile networks with mobile number portability in the same country comprising a computer with SS7 connections able to interrogate all the HLRs of the country where MNP is implemented, being located in an other country or the same. The computer includes a memory cache for all the subscribers of the country which allow to know which HLR to interrogate without searching one they have been found. The memory cache is initially empty and builds once by search of the HLRs when a subscriber does not exist yet in the cache, or when he is ported-out, that is, change its network.

  • Publication number: 20020090300
Abstract: A turbojet engine fan rotor including a rotor disk having a peripheral rim with a plurality of axially extending channels carrying a plurality of fan blades each having a blade root interengaging with the channels of the disk, and a mounting arrangement for securing the blades to the disk. The mounting arrangement includes an annular member having a plurality of radially extending teeth, a plurality of wedges each interposed between one of the blade roots and a corresponding one of the channels and including a radially extending boss provided at one end, and a plurality of radially extending protrusions from the disk. The plurality of teeth and the plurality of protrusions cooperate with one another to secure the annular member with the rotor disk.

  • Patent number: 6395790
Abstract: An oil-in-water emulsion composition comprising 0.5% to 20% by weight of a cationic emulsifier, up to 75% by weight of siloxane and water, wherein the siloxane is liquid and has units according to the formula Ra Si O4−a/2 wherein R is hydrocarbon or OH and a is 0 to 3 and wherein the cationic emulsifier is free from halogen in its counter ion, preferably methosulphate, etho-sulphate, acetate, tosylate, phosphate or nitrate. The siloxane preferably has a viscosity at 25° C. of from 10,000 to 1,000,000 mPa.s and is selected from polydimethyl siloxanes and polydimethyl polymethyl phenyl siloxanes. Also covered is a process of depositing siloxanes from such siloxanes.

  • Patent number: 5416420
Abstract: A method and apparatus for verifying the condition of an electrical insulator which is placed between two live conducting elements which are separated by the insulator. The insulator has a continuous electrically insulating core that may be covered with other types of insulating material. The insulator may also be a lightening arrester consisting of stacked insulating discs. An electric field detecting apparatus is positioned at a plurality of locations along the insulator to measure the intensity of an electric field created along the insulator. At each location a detected signal value of the electric field is stored within the apparatus and all of these signals are analyzed to detect deviations from expected values of the electric field and indicative of a fault(s) along the insulator.
