Patent number: 11932480Abstract: An equipment security system includes one or more sensors or optical recording devices disposed on or inside a cargo container. A computing device receives data from the one or more sensors or optical recording devices, determines whether an event has occurred at the cargo container, determines a geofence associated with the cargo container, and selects or configures a dynamic script including instructions that specify whether to begin recording an event occurring at or inside the cargo container, whether to record the event in an overwritable, local memory associated with at least one of the one or more sensors or optical recording devices or the computing device, parameters that govern how data associated with the event will be recorded, and whether to upload the data from the local memory to a remote server.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2020Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: FEDERAL EXPRESS CORPORATIONInventors: Anthony James Hyatt, Andrew Charles Jensen, Hal Wesley Borland, Dennis Wayne Harner, Daniel Robert Martin

Patent number: 7983394Abstract: A multiple wavelength x-ray source includes a multi-thickness target, having at least a first and a second thickness. The first thickness can substantially circumscribe the second thickness. An electron beam can be narrowed to impinge primarily upon second thickness or expanded to impinge primarily upon the first thickness while maintaining a constant direction of the beam. This invention allows the target thickness to be optimized for the desired output wavelength without the need to redirect or realign the x-rays towards the target.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2009Date of Patent: July 19, 2011Assignee: Moxtek, Inc.Inventors: Krzysztof Kozaczek, Sterling Cornaby, Steven Liddiard, Charles Jensen

Publication number: 20070076849Abstract: An x-ray source has an evacuated tube. An anode is disposed in the tube and includes a material configured to produce x-rays in response to impact of electrons. A cathode is disposed in the tube opposing the anode configured to produce electrons accelerated towards the anode in response to an electric field between the anode and the cathode. A flange extends from the cathode toward the anode, and has a smaller diameter than the evacuated tube. The flange extends closer to the anode than an interface between the cathode and the tube thus forming a reduced-field region between the evacuated tube and the flange.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2006Publication date: April 5, 2007Inventors: Erik Bard, Charles Jensen, Shaun Ogden, Steven Liddiard

Publication number: 20070063547Abstract: The invention concerns a vehicle body panel. The vehicle body panel, such as a floor pan, may have a generally planar portion adapted to be located adjacent to and conceal a vehicle component, such as a fuel pump module. An access portion is located within and extends out of plane of the generally planar portion, and includes a periphery, wherein the access portion is integral with the generally planar portion. Also, a cutting guide feature extends around it adjacent to the periphery.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2005Publication date: March 22, 2007Inventors: Robert Gollehur, Stephen Miller, Marcel Cannon, John Freiwald, Steven Balgaard, Charles Jensen, Anthony Brower

Publication number: 20070062758Abstract: A laminated steel having a non-continuous viscoelastic layer. The viscoelastic material is absent (voided) at certain predetermined locations of the laminated steel, particularly predetermined potential weld locations. Preferably, the outside surface of at least one of the metal sheets is marked to indicate each location of absence of the viscoelastic material. Advantageously, welding of the laminated steel at the absences of viscoelastic material will be more easily performed than if the viscoelastic material had been present at the weld site.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2005Publication date: March 22, 2007Inventors: Charles Jensen, Charles Bruggemann

Publication number: 20070025516Abstract: An X-ray source includes a magnetic appliance to provide electron beam focusing. The magnetic appliance can provide variably focused and non-focused configurations. The magnetic appliance can include one or more electromagnets and/or permanent magnets. An electric potential difference is applied to an anode and a cathode that are disposed on opposite sides of an evacuated tube. The cathode includes a cathode element to produce electrons that are accelerated towards the anode in response to the electric field between the anode and the cathode. The anode includes a target material to produce x-rays in response to impact of electrons.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2006Publication date: February 1, 2007Inventors: Erik Bard, Charles Jensen, Arturo Reyes, Shaun Ogden, Steven Liddiard

Publication number: 20060095142Abstract: Method and system for a direct transmission of motion path data (310) from a generating system (204) to a control system (205) for use in controlling a servo-driven machine. For example, a machine tool for machining stock material, and the data generating system includes a computer-aided-design software package (301). Tool paths for directing the tool members of the machine tool can be extracted from a design file opened by the CAD software through the operation interface of the CAD software (302). Alternatively, the design file can be used to specify motion paths rather than end product geometry. The CAD interpreter application extracts the motion path data from the design file, eliminating the need to translate the data into another or intermediate form for controlling the machine tool.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2001Publication date: May 4, 2006Inventors: Mark Evans, Walter Red, Charles Jensen, C. Bassett, Corey McBride, Jonathan Bosley, Girish Ghimire

Patent number: 6523869Abstract: A releasable locking latch assembly for an endgate of a pickup truck, which includes a handle for rotating the mechanisms of the locking latch assembly resulting in the retraction of one or more cables further resulting in the release of an endgate. The locking latch assembly includes a locking finger for impeding the movement of the locking latch assembly in a locked position and a lock for rotatably engaging the locking finger into and out of the locked position.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2001Date of Patent: February 25, 2003Assignee: General Motors CorporationInventors: Thomas Charles Jensen, David K Rock, Leon S. Patent number: 6276919Abstract: An automated pretzel forming machine that produces fresh unbaked pretzels with hand formed characteristics by extruding premixed dough onto a folding table. This table is moved by a bi-directional positioning stage, forming the unfolded and untwisted pretzel shape. The folding table twists the ends of the extruded dough rope then folds the twisted portion on top of the main body of extruded dough resulting in the classic hand twisted pretzel shape. The twisted and folded pretzel is transferred from the folding table through the use of a lift and rotate unit and is subjected to a patterned soda spray and salted before being unloaded from the lift and rotate unit to an existing conveyor oven.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 1999Date of Patent: August 21, 2001Inventors: Fred Charles Jensen, Barbara Elizabeth Jensen, John Richard Avalon
