Publication number: 20230347145Abstract: Provided are devices and methods for preventing an episode of incontinence in an individual in need thereof. The devices comprise a sensor and a stimulator electrode that can be implanted into the body of the individual. Once the device is implanted in the individual, the sensor of the device senses a parameter that is associated with a response from the individual that is intended to prevent an episode of incontinence. Then, the device provides an electrical stimulation using the electrode that, together with the response, helps to prevent the episode of incontinence.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2023Publication date: November 2, 2023Inventors: Timothy DENISON, Stefan DE WACHTER, Charles KNOWLES, Aidan CRAWLEY

Publication number: 20060131876Abstract: A preferred apparatus for connecting a fitting to a conduit section comprises a rigid insert designed to be affixed to the fitting and one or more retainers designed to fit over the external surface of the conduit section. A preferred insert includes at least two axially-spaced, raised detents. Suitable retainers include rigid, one-piece collars and clamps. An especially preferred method for connecting the coupler fittings and the section of pipe comprises the steps of positioning a one-piece collar over the external surface of the conduit section; pressing the insert into a receiving end of the conduit section; and pushing the one-piece collar along the external surface of the conduit section toward the receiving end to substantially align the one-piece collar between two axially-spaced, raised detents on the insert. Most preferably, a seal is positioned between the two axially-spaced, raised detents.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2006Publication date: June 22, 2006Applicant: Wolf Creek Company, Inc.Inventors: Charles Knowles, James Orban, Sasenjko Radzepagic
