  • Publication number: 20250215654
Abstract: Foundation pile assemblies disclosed herein can include a first section positioned at a bottom of a foundation pile assembly and a second section coupled to the first section. The first section can include a shell extending along a length of the foundation pile. The shell can have an interior space and an outside surface. A cap can be positioned at an end of the pile assembly. Some embodiments of the foundation pile can have an impact support element positioned within the interior space of the shell to increase the strength of the foundation pile assembly in the vicinity of the impact support element. The initial or, in some instances, full length assembly can be configured on a horizontal or slightly sloped rack on the ground from which the assembly is lofted vertically and installed into the ground.

  • Patent number: 7203663
Abstract: The invention is a system and method for converting paper forms to electronic data. More specifically, a special purpose system and technique are described for performing the conversion in a manner that is advantageous in terms of overall cost and cycle time. The approach is applicable to many different form types; the forms may be credit card applications, license applications, or tax returns, for example. Because present day scanners and character recognition algorithms still result in read errors, manual data correction is required. One technique described in the invention is how to efficiently use both internal and external data entry operators as part of an overall conversion process. The invention also illustrates how to apply contingent workflow management concepts to the data conversion process. The result is a more efficient and effective business process.

  • Publication number: 20070075019
Abstract: A system for treating wastewater includes a basin to contain wastewater, an aerator provided in the basin to mix the wastewater, and a cover system to cover a surface of the wastewater contained in the basin. The cover system includes a plurality of hollow bodies disposed on the surface of the wastewater. Each hollow body is adapted to float on the wastewater's surface, and has a contiguous outer surface and a sufficient mass so that 30 to 70 percent of the hollow body's outer surface is exposed to atmosphere during use. A method of treating wastewater is further disclosed.
