  • Publication number: 20240122080
Abstract: A superconductor device includes a high superconductivity transition temperature enhanced from the raw material transition temperature. The superconductor device includes a matrix material and a core material. The enhancing matrix material and the core material together create a system of strongly coupled carriers. A plurality of low-dimensional conductive features can be embedded in the matrix. The low-dimensional conductive features (e.g., nanowires or nanoparticles) can be conductors or superconductors. An interaction between electrons of the low-dimensional conductive features and the enhancing matrix material can promote excitations that increase a superconductivity transition temperature of the superconductor device.

  • Patent number: 11639604
Abstract: A standing seam metal panel for a roof cover system has upstanding symmetrical sides defining lateral edges. A trough extends between the lateral edges. Each lateral edge comprises an angled portion, a vertical portion, and first and second horizontal portions. The angled portion extends upward and outward from the trough. The vertical portion extends upward from the angled portion and generally perpendicular to the trough. The first horizontal portion extends inward from the vertical portion and generally parallel to the trough. The second horizontal portion extends above, outward from, and generally parallel to the first horizontal portion. The lateral edges are formed by bends in the metal panel that define the portions of the lateral edges. The lateral edges are adapted to form a sidelap with a lateral edge of an adjacent the metal panel in the cover system. The sidelap is formed on panel clips of the cover system.

  • Patent number: 9404262
Abstract: Metal panel standing seam roof recovers installed over an existing shingled roof. The existing shingled roof comprises a plurality of shingles installed in overlapping rows running across the pitch of the existing roof. The rows of shingles have a covered upper edge and an exposed lower edge. The recover system comprises a plurality of panel clips mounted to the existing shingled roof and arranged in linear arrays running along the pitch of the existing roof. The panel clips have a base that extends across and is supported by the lower edges of a first row of shingles and an adjacent second row of shingles. A recover is attached to the panel clips. The recover comprises a plurality of elongated metal panels having upstanding sides defining lateral edges with a trough therebetween. The metal panels are interconnected along adjacent lateral edges by sidelaps formed on the panel clips.

  • Patent number: 8938924
Abstract: Metal panel standing seam roof recovers installed over existing metal panel standing seam roof. The metal panel standing seam roof recover system comprises a plurality of recover panel clips mounted to the existing roof and a recover attached to the recover panel clips. The recover panel clips are arranged in linear arrays running along the pitch of the existing roof. The recover panel clips are mounted to the cover panels by a clip fastener extending through a cover sidelap or through a shoulder adjacent a cover sidelap formed in the standing seam metal panels of the existing roof. The recover comprises a plurality of elongated metal recover panels having upstanding sides defining lateral edges with a trough therebetween. The recover panels are interconnected along adjacent lateral edges by sidelaps formed on the recover panel clips.

  • Patent number: 8887464
Abstract: The subject invention provides for metal panel roof recover systems which are installed over an existing roof. The existing roof has a support frame which includes an array of spaced purlins running horizontally through the roof and a plurality of interconnected metal panels that are mounted vertically across the array of purlins. The roof recover system comprises individual panel clips, elongated panel clips, and a metal cover. The individual clips are arranged in linear arrays running vertically across the purlins and are mounted to the purlins through the panels of the existing roof. The elongated continuous panel clips extend vertically across and are mounted to adjacent purlins through the panels of the existing roof. The metal cover is attached to the clips and comprises a plurality of metal panels interconnected by vertical standing seams formed on the clips.

  • Patent number: 8713864
Abstract: Skylights and roofs having skylights are provided for. The skylights may comprise a pair of elongated struts adapted for mounting vertically on opposing sides of an opening in the roof cover and a translucent panel mounted horizontally across the struts. The translucent panel has upwardly extending sides adapted to be joined to form horizontal seams, and the struts are adapted to support the translucent panel above the roof cover.
