  • Patent number: 4353453
Abstract: An improved coin acceptor mechanism employing an oscillator and a resonant circuit for detecting the electromagnetic effect of valid and invalid coins passing through a coil of the tuned circuit. A particular linear coil configuration provides a unique signature for each coin including at least one maximum and one minimum amplitude level of resonant circuit current. A comparator establishes at least two electrical signal amplitude windows representative of each valid coin signature. A logic circuit responds only to the coin falling within the two electrical signal amplitude windows for actuation. A novel coil design and assembly are enclosed.

  • Patent number: 4226370
Abstract: In a device and method for particulating conglomerated materials, and especially soil samples, a revolving drum is mounted for eccentric rotation about a vertical axis. A grating or screen comprises the cylindrical wall of the open ended drum. The materials to be worked are placed between the outer periphery of the drum and an arcuate wall mounted for pivotal movement with respect to the drum. The materials are then crowded by the movable wall into engagement with the grating of the revolving eccentric drum to break up the materials into particles of workable size. Hard matter, such as rocks or gravel, is segregated during the process. If desired, a row of fingers and/or a brush can be mounted for engagement with the drum to loosen accumulated materials from the drum during operation of the device.

  • Patent number: 4188056
Abstract: A combination boat and camper trailer comprises a camper supporting portion secured to a boat supporting portion. The camper supporting portion includes opposed pairs of parallel, inclined guide members supporting the camper for movement between upper and lower positions. Preferably, the forward guide members include level upper portions while the upper portions of the rear members are inclined so that the camper can be tilted to facilitate water launching of the boat. Apparatus is provided for supporting the boat on dry land so that the camper can be lowered for occupancy without requiring that the boat be launched.
