  • Patent number: 6899872
Abstract: A method for improving the biological equilibrium of intestinal tract flora in humans and other mammals, the purpose of this being to decrease emission of the malodorous gases from the humans and other mammals. The method comprises ingesting an effective quantity of a dehydrated composition comprising propionic bacteria in an amount of at least 109 cells per gram of the composition. In a preferred form, the composition contains about 80 to 90 parts propionic bacteria to about 20 to 1 parts bifid bacteria.

  • Publication number: 20050089608
Abstract: Method characterised by the following steps: a first fraction of animal's blood, for example pig's blood or cow's blood or alternatively derivatives thereof such as cruor, is subjected to a process of controlled enzyme hydrolysis to obtain a first hydrolysate containing haem iron complexed with large-sized peptides; the first hydrolysate is enriched by ultra-filtration to obtain a hydrolysate solution enriched with haem iron-peptide complexes; in parallel, a second fraction of animal's blood or derivatives thereof such as cruor, is subjected to a process of advanced enzyme hydrolysis to obtain an extrinsic haem solution highly complexed with small peptides; the hydrolysate solution enriched with haem iron-peptide complexes is mixed with the extrinsic haem solution to enable the extrinsic haem to fix on the large-sized peptides of the hydrolysate solution and to obtain a haemic peptide fraction with a high content of iron soluble at an acid pH.

  • Publication number: 20050036996
Abstract: The invention concerns the use of propionic bacteria for obtaining a current feeding composition or an absorbable dietetic or medicinal composition capable of releasing physiologically significant amounts of nitric oxide in the human or animal alimentary canal.

  • Patent number: 6242005
Abstract: An absorbable prophylactic composition for protecting against ionizing or nonionizing electromagnetic waves. The composition is derived from a crude extract of residual fractions of crushed grapes, and primarily from solid material comprising pips, stalks and skins of grapes and/or combinations thereof. The crude extract is obtained by first pulverizing the fraction or fractions from the grapes to form a powder, and then subjecting the powder to at least two extraction processes, one with acetone and the other with ethyl acetate. The extract is then ingested in doses between about 20 mg to 3 g for an adult male. Tests have demonstrated the efficacy of this composition against changes induced by ionizing radiation (x-rays) and nonionizing radiation (UV-C).
