  • Patent number: 11796682
Abstract: Embodiments provide for a method of determining a geospatial position of a point of interest and a portable positioning device. In one embodiment, the method includes collecting data from a receiving unit and data from at least one of an imaging device and an IMU of the positioning device for each one of a plurality of positions of the positioning device. The collected data is then transmitted to a data fusing processor for determining orientations and positions of the positioning device for the plurality of positions in a global coordinate system. Further, the method includes obtaining a pointing input including a sighting direction towards the point of interest from the positioning device being positioned at at least one reference position. The pointing input is transmitted to the data fusing processor for identifying the point of interest and for determining the geospatial position of the point of interest in the global coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 11791045
Abstract: An apparatus and method for informed personal-well-being decision making that provides a user with alerts and information, focused on health and wellness, on items they choose for possible consumption. Some embodiments include optical, sonic, smell and other sensors, communications with databases that identify ingredients and effects on health and well-being, as well as user inputs. From user input, GPS, local conditions and alerts, some embodiments determine information specific to the user and their environment. By using established, and creating new, databases, some embodiments compile, compare, transmit and store data on various consumables. Some embodiments provide access to information on the companies, manufacturers, and various other components in an item's trip from dirt to table. Some embodiments establish methods and procedures to ascertain both the point-of-origin and where the consumable has traveled.

  • Patent number: 11788837
Abstract: Embodiments provide for methods and portable positioning devices adapted to determine a geospatial position of a point of interest. In one embodiment, the portable positioning device comprises an antenna, a levelling detector, an imaging device, a display unit and a processing unit. The antenna may be adapted to receive satellite information signals. The levelling detector is arranged relative to the antenna for detecting whether the antenna is positioned horizontally. The imaging device has an optical axis and a sighting axis. In one embodiment, the sighting axis intersects an antenna axis. In another embodiment, the sighting axis is aligned with the antenna axis. The display unit may be provided for assisting in identifying the point of interest within a field of view of the imaging device and for assisting in identifying whether the antenna is horizontally levelled and whether a phase center and the point of interest are vertically aligned.

  • Patent number: 11751542
Abstract: An apparatus and method for profit maximization and risk mitigation that uses nutrition modeling of animals, including poultry and marine animals, is a critical component of the respective enterprise optimization and managed environment pollution control. The optimization accuracy depends on the description of utilization efficiency of nutrients in a population of animals. Utilization efficiency of nutrients for meat production in a population is preferably based on at least three component parts of nutrient utilization, namely maintenance, linear gain, and non-linear gain, instead of one only. Efficiencies for maintenance and linear gain are fixed value(s), but nutrient efficiency is a result of intra-population variation and efficiency of linear gain, and affect profit. Similar processing is performed to obtain optimal crop growth and profit.

  • Publication number: 20220187476
Abstract: According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided a method and a positioning device for determining a geospatial position and a nature of an object. The method may include capturing, by an imaging device of the positioning device, at least one image of a surface. The captured image may be processed for identifying at least one candidate object in the surface and for determining a nature of the candidate object. Further, the method may include displaying the captured image with a selection mechanism for assisting in selection of the candidate object, wherein the captured image is displayed with an indication of the determined nature of the candidate object. The method may then include receiving an input via the selection mechanism for selection of at least one of the at least one candidate object.
