  • Patent number: 9892665
Abstract: A Polygonal Unibody Pole Sign is a single piece of cardboard, or other flexible semi-rigid material, designed to enclose a pole, post, or column, that can remain elevated without adhesives, or external support while providing surfaces for advertising, display, or decoration. Installation does not require the Polygonal Unibody Pole Sign to be placed over the top of the pole, column or beam. Instead, the invention is wrapped around the support and kept enclosed by inserting tabs at one vertical end into slots in the other. Flaps with circular or other shaped aperture the same diameter of the support in place along the horizontal ends of each display panel are then folded inward to enclose the support and hold the invention at height. The final installed Polygonal Unibody Pole Sign then presents display surfaces visible from multiple directions, providing 360 degree visibility in the preferred enclosed embodiment.

  • Publication number: 20140167518
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing noise in an electrical system includes a first isolation stage for a patient monitoring system that provides a first power transformation and a first isolation barrier to current flow. The patient monitoring system including a portable patient monitoring device, a charging apparatus that charges the portable patient monitoring device and a power supply that provides power to the charging apparatus and the first isolation stage is connected to the power supply. A second isolation stage is electrically connected between the first isolation stage and the charging apparatus. The second isolation stage provides a second power transformation and a second barrier to current flow, the second isolation stage reduces noise in the electrical system caused by stray currents.

  • Publication number: 20140148802
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for protecting a patient during a radio frequency medical procedure. A detector includes an input receiving electrical impulses representing at least one patient parameter to be monitored from at least one shielded sensor connected to the patient. The detector detects at least one of (a) a voltage associated with parasitic current generated during a radio frequency medical procedure and (b) a current generated during a radio frequency medical procedure. A control circuit is coupled to the detector and compares at least one of (a) the detected voltage with a threshold voltage value and (b) the detected current with a threshold current value. A switch is coupled between the detector and the control circuit. In response to a control signal generated by the control circuit, the switch selectively switches between a conductive state and a non conductive state.

  • Patent number: 7902810
Abstract: A cable detection system, includes a source of an input electrical AC signal for coupling to a first lead pin of a cable connector. A detector is coupled to a different second lead pin of the cable connector. The detector detects an electrical AC output signal derived by capacitive coupling of the input electrical AC signal occurring within a cable incorporating first and second leads corresponding to the first and second lead pins. The detector further enables a determination of whether the cable is connected to the cable connector in response to an amplitude dependent characteristic of the detected AC output signal.

  • Patent number: 7759908
Abstract: An electronic device identification system includes a rectifier bridge for providing an output DC voltage of fixed polarity from an input DC voltage of a corresponding or reverse polarity. The system further includes an identification component coupled across an input to the rectifier bridge. This enables identification of the identification component value via electrical detection circuitry applied to the input to the rectifier bridge.

  • Publication number: 20080154105
Abstract: A switched filter signal processing system includes an input terminal for receiving an input signal conveying first signal information in a first time phase and second signal information in a different second time phase. Desired information represents the difference between the first and second signal information. A multiplexed switch filter filters the input signal in the first phase with a first filter to obtain the first signal information and filters the input signal in the different second time phase with a second filter to obtain the second signal information. The system also includes a common filter component, which is shared by the first and second filter, and respective second filter components for the first and second filters.
