  • Publication number: 20240097688
Abstract: An example frequency converter includes a drift canceling loop with a balanced delay and a linear signal path (e.g., linear with respect to frequency scaling, amplitude modulation, and/or phase modulation). One side of the drift canceling loop includes a fixed delay, and the opposite side includes an adjustable, complementary delay. The adjustable, complementary delay facilitates precision matching of the signal delays on each side of the loop over a range of frequencies, which results in a significant improvement in noise cancelation, particularly at large offsets to the carrier, while permitting the use of a higher noise, but very fast tuning course scale oscillator. The linear signal path from the signal generator to an RF output facilitates modulation of the signal by the signal generator. A modular format is an advantageous embodiment of the invention that includes the removal of the frequency synthesizer's low phase noise reference into a separate module.

  • Patent number: 11622841
Abstract: A toothbrush system configured to be coupled to an external suction source. The toothbrush system includes a shaft with a main body with a first end and a second end, and a bristle array and a suction port arranged at the second end. The bristle array and the suction port both extend away from the shaft so that an opening of the suction port is proximal to a distal end of the bristle array. The shaft also includes a stem arranged at the first end. The stem includes a passageway that extends through the main body to provide a fluid connection to the suction port, and is configured to be coupled to the external suction source. • Publication number: 20210245787
Abstract: Trolley systems and associated rails and tracks are described, the trolleys having an integrated brake system that can be adapted to slow or stop the trolley based on various control inputs (internal or external). The track system may be formed from either or both of a series of tensioned cables or tracks that are interconnected with transition system and the trolleys described, able to transition between track systems. The track system may be fitted with additional braking elements to govern motion of the trolley along a track system. Additionally, the track may be fitted with other elements that provide an external input into the trolley to modify the braking operation of the trolley.

  • Patent number: 10982855
Abstract: A combustor cap assembly includes a cap plate and a cover panel. The cap plate defines an outer perimeter and fuel nozzle openings disposed through the cap plate. The cap plate has a hot side, and the cover panel has a cold side, which is attached to the hot side of the cap plate. The hot side of the cap plate and/or the cold side of the cover panel define a plurality of cooling microchannels extending in a transverse direction relative to a centerline of the combustor cap assembly. A first microchannel has a first channel outlet disposed along the outer perimeter of the cap plate, and/or a second microchannel has a second channel outlet disposed within one of the plurality of fuel nozzle openings. The cover panel may be coated with a bond coat and a thermal barrier coating.

  • Patent number: 10822976
Abstract: A nozzle assembly includes a first nozzle cavity, a second nozzle cavity, a rib positioned between the nozzle cavities, a rib cap positioned on the rib, a first cavity insert, and a second cavity insert. The rib cap is wider than the rib, such that the rib cap extends outwardly into those portions of the nozzle cavities immediately adjacent the rib. The first cavity insert and the second cavity insert include a longitudinal surface offset from the rib. The offset surfaces include rib cap-interface surfaces that are joined to the rib cap. A method of modifying the nozzle assembly is achieved by installing a rib cap having a width greater than that of the rib and by installing modified cavity inserts having a surface offset from the rib, and by joining rib cap-interface surfaces of the modified cavity inserts to the rib cap.
