  • Patent number: 11029393
Abstract: A Light Imaging, Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system with multiple LIDAR units share a dual axis resonate motor (or tip-tilt) beam steering mirror (BSM). The dual axis resonate motor (or tip-tilt) beam steering mirror has two degrees of rotational freedom, first rotor rotate reference to second rotor through connected first torsion spring axis, the second rotor is also the stator of the first rotor, second rotor rotate reference to stator through connected second torsion spring axis. Alternating electric current energizes electric coils to create electromagnetic force which resonates the rotors coaxially along the torsion spring axis. Each of the polarity of the LIDAR units shares the BSM and covers a fractional field of view of the system. The dual axis resonate motor (or tip-tilt) beam steering system is capable of scanning each individual LIDAR unit point measurement data into a 3D (distance, vertical angle, horizontal angle) data cloud.

  • Patent number: 9553505
Abstract: A circuit for electromagnetic interference (EMI) reduction contains a signal input, a signal output, a pulse count controlling unit, a stand-by power reduction unit, a pulse series delay unit, and a temperature sensing unit. An alternating current (AC) input is provided to the signal input and the modified signal is drawn out from the signal output. The pulse count controlling unit and the pulse series delay unit modify the pulses of the pulse-width modulation process such that the overall efficiency of the circuit is increased. In particular, the pulse count controlling unit increases the number of pulses per cycle such that additional power is transferred onto the output load. On the other hand, the pulse series delay unit shifts the start time of a series of pulses such that the overall emission is reduced. The stand-by power reduction unit disconnects power when a circuit overload occurs.

  • Patent number: 8115452
Abstract: A bicycle battery connection system includes a battery data determination circuit, a battery data processing circuit and an adapter. The battery data determination circuit is electrically connected to one of the first-type battery having an MCU and a second-type battery without an MCU through the adapter for enabling battery data of the connected battery to be processed by the battery data processing circuit and outputted as battery status for display on a display device in front of the user and for further battery output control. Thus, either a first-type battery or a second-type battery can be used and detected for automatic matching, and therefore the battery connection system allows a bicycle to use any of different types of batteries.

  • Patent number: 6738811
Abstract: A health diagnostic system capable for monitoring the health condition of computing device on a network is disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a computing device is installed a module that can provoke the monitoring process that periodically samples values representing the health condition of the computing device. The sampled values are then sent back to the monitoring server for analysis. Meanwhile a monitoring server receives the sampled values and performs data analysis to determine if the computing device is in a good/poor condition based on historic data that are further used to predicate what the remaining time is for the computing device to actually break down so that necessary measures may be taken to prevent an actual breakdown.

  • Patent number: 5726874
Abstract: The present invention relates to a power supply system which can provide a dual air flow control and heat reduction in an electronic device having a regular fan. The power supply system has an additional backup fan operating independently from the regular fan and further comprises a thermal control circuit comprising a solid state temperature sensor for detecting ambient temperature changes inside the electronic device and a fan power drive electrically connected to the solid state temperature sensor as well as to the backup fan to turn on or off the backup fan in response to ambient temperature changes. The power supply system also comprises a pair of resistors connected respectively to the solid state temperature sensor to set a low and a high trigger temperatures based that the backup fan is able to make a proper response to ambient temperature changes provided, however, that the high trigger temperature shall be higher than the low trigger temperature.

  • Patent number: 5050694
Abstract: An adjustable stand for a weigh scale in which the scale has a readout display at the front of the scale, and a weighing platform located behind the readout display. The adjustable stand is adapted to receive during one weighing operation one or more envelopes which are oversized relative to the platform. The adjustable stand comprises as upright envelope support which extends across the platform. The envelope support slideable engages the sides of the platform with a pair of C-shaped clamping guides. An upright lip is formed at the front of the platform. Appropriate sliding adjustment of the envelope support relative the lip enables one or more oversized envelopes to be securely held on the platform during a single weighing operation. The scale also features a circular platform support saddle. The periphery of the saddle is formed with a plurality of notches which engage fingerlike keys that project from the bottom of the platform.

  • Patent number: 4724914
Abstract: A weigh scale comprising a platform, a base, a transducer coupled to the platform, and a shock-absorbing compound spring having two serially-connected sections. One spring section flexes most favorably in a vertical direction and the other section in a horizontal direction. The compound spring moveably supports the transducer on the base so that shock forces applied to the platform from different directions are absorbed by the spring to prevent permanent distortion of the transducer and the resulting erroneous weight readings.
