  • Publication number: 20240300343
Abstract: A power supply system comprises a first node connected to a second node via an electrically conducting cable, wherein the cable is conducting alternating current at high frequency (e.g. 100 Hz or higher, e.g. 20 KHz or higher) between the first and second nodes, and the electrically conducting cable is a capacitive cable. A power supply at the high frequency can be connected to the first node, or a power supply at 50 or 60 Hz can be connected to a converter outputting power at the high frequency with the converter output connected to the first node. A converter can be connected to the second node, or an electrical appliance operating using high frequency power can be connected to the second node. A related wireless electric vehicle charging system comprises (a) a power supply, optionally a power supply system of the invention. (b) an inverter connected to the power supply and adapted to output power at a high frequency. e.g.

  • Publication number: 20070200441
Abstract: A stator assembly is provided having a generally annular stator core including a plurality of radially inwardly extending stator teeth. A stator wire is wound around each of the plurality of stator teeth to form a plurality of stator coils. Each of the plurality of stator coils are spaced apart to at least partially define a plurality of generally axially extending cooling channels through which a cooling medium, such as oil, flows. Additionally, the plurality of stator teeth each include a respective flanged end portion each adapted to retain an axially extending strip member. The strip member at least partially defines the cooling channel. The cooling medium operates to cool the plurality of stator coils. In the preferred embodiment, at least a portion of the flow of the cooling medium within the cooling channel is turbulent. Additionally, an electromechanical hybrid transmission is disclosed with the stator assembly provided.

  • Publication number: 20070200437
Abstract: The apparatus of the present invention provides a stator assembly for an electric device such as a motor or a generator. The stator assembly preferably includes a generally annular stator core having a plurality of stator teeth. A stator wire is wound around each of the stator teeth to form a stator coil. An epoxy resin is applied to the stator coil and around each of the stator teeth such that the stator wire is coated and thereby electrically isolated by the epoxy resin. A coolant channel at least partially defined by the epoxy resin is positioned in close proximity to the stator coil such that the stator assembly remains cool. A corresponding method for manufacturing such a stator assembly is also provided.

  • Patent number: 4179756
Abstract: A pair of goggles for protecting the eyes from contamination is provided having a plurality of sliding lenses in a frame so that when the outer most lens becomes dirty it is pushed down into the frame of the goggles leaving a clear view through the remaining lenses. Similarly when the next lens becomes dirty it also slides down leaving the remaining lenses in place, said procedure being repeated until all the movable lenses have been utilized.
