  • Patent number: 8627635
Abstract: A grid panel includes a generally elongated, rectangular main panel section having a plurality of main panel section corners: a pair of generally elongated, rectangular end panel sections extending from the main panel section beyond the main panel section corners, each of the end panel sections having a plurality of end panel section corners; a plurality of grid notches between the main panel section corners and the end panel section corners, respectively; and a plurality of grid openings in the main panel section and each of the end panel sections.

  • Patent number: 7618026
Abstract: A cooling tower fill support grid assembly and method of use which includes multiple cooling tower assembly fill hangers, each having a grid pattern that defines multiple grid openings of selected size. In one embodiment an anchor rivet pin extends from the horizontal grid members upwardly and disproportionally spaced-apart from the vertical grid members, into each grid opening. The anchor rivet pins are located off-center on the horizontal grid members between respective vertical grid members for engaging elliptical splash fills that are inserted in the aligned grid openings of adjacent assembly fill hangers in a first configuration. Once so inserted, the elliptical splash fills are rotated ninety-degrees into contact and engagement with the anchor rivet pins in a second, installed configuration.

  • Patent number: 6520366
Abstract: Beverage container holders which typically include a single-cup beverage container holder, a dual-cup beverage container holder, a three-cup beverage container holder and a four-cup beverage container holder. The respective beverage container holders are each characterized by at least one container cup and a handle attached to the container cup, which handle is typically hollow and serrated or scalloped to facilitate non-rotatable nesting of the handles of two or more of the beverage container holders in either stored or functional configuration. The various configurations of the container cups on the handles facilitates selective positioning of the container cups of multiple nested beverage container holders, to enable an individual to carry a selected number of beverages using one hand at the nested handles.

  • Patent number: 5204027
Abstract: Extended surface fluid contact panels which in a preferred embodiment include a plurality of thin, waffled or corrugated half polygonal panel segments joined to define the panels, the latter of which are connected in offset, stacked relationship to define a repetitive polygonal matrix and create liquid-gas contact areas on the inside and outside surfaces of the panels. The panel matrix is vertically oriented in a staggered, layered array with respect to the tower or structure in which the panels are placed and in a most preferred embodiment, the respective panel layers are vertically arrayed and staggered by means of vertical connectors which are provided with projecting tabs that match corresponding sockets in the panels.

  • Patent number: 4477394
Abstract: Extended surface, fluid contact panels which include a plurality of tubular members in generally parallel relationship and spaced in a matrix of thin fins connecting the tubular members to create liquid-gas contact areas on the inside and outside surfaces of the tubular members and the fins. The tubular members and fin matrix are vertically oriented in staggered array with respect to the tower or structure in which the panels are used and in a preferred embodiment, the fins and tubes are tapered and shaped from a plastic material and selected ones of the fins are provided with projecting tabs and matching socket members for connecting the panels in end-to-end relationship and spaced rivet apertures are provided in the fins for accepting rivets to pin the panels in stacked configuration.
