  • Patent number: 5013219
Abstract: A high pressure, positive displacement piston pump for pumping a corrosive fluid is disclosed. The pump includes a pump body having a plurality of cylinders therein, each provided with an inlet and an outlet. A suitable one-way valve device is disposed in a connection between the inlet and the cylinder, and another oppositely directed one way-valve device is disposed in a connection betweenn the outlet and each cylinder. A piston is disposed in each cylinder for reciprocal movement therein in order to pump the fluuid from the inlet to the outlet. A cam device moves each piston reciprocally and includes a rotating member having a first camming surface which is cylically rotated adjacent an end of each piston. At the end of each piston, a second camming surface is provided which engages the first camming surface. A cooling system is also provided for cooling and lubricating the first and second camming surfaces with a coolant liquid in contact with the bearing surfaces within the pump.

  • Patent number: 4421491
Abstract: A sailboard assembly includes at least two sailboards with each sailboard being linked to another sailboard by a flexible rigid link.

  • Patent number: 4326840
Abstract: A wave driven pump includes a buoyant wave follower having an elongated hollow body member depending therefrom with a piston in the body member. The remote end of the body member or cylinder is moored to the sea floor, and the piston is also moored so as to maintain its vertical position generally constant. Means are provided to permit the portion of the cylinder containing the piston to move up and down with respect to the piston in response to wave movements so that a pumping action results to pump water from a pumping chamber in the cylinder upstream from the piston.

  • Patent number: 4221550
Abstract: A fluid pump wherein the pumping action is created by reciprocating forces applied to an unattached block, such as a ball, of elastically deformable material in a cavity, such as a cylinder. The block effects the pumping by defining a fluid pumping enclosure in said cavity, the cavity being additionally provided with means effecting the deformation of said block during said reciprocatory force cycle, thereby storing energy which is advantageously recovered in the pump intake stroke.
