  • Publication number: 20080134953
Abstract: A plastic substrate comprises two or more approximately planar walls (47) conjoined by elongate paralleling ribs (45) to define a plurality of elongate channels (44) to form a combination floor (39) and hull (38) of a corrugated plastic water craft. An exterior surface of the hull includes a plurality of openings located between the craft's bow and aft which facilitate a water's entry and exiting locations, (22) (24) (46) (48) (50) (51) and via a slit(s), a slot(s), a circular aperture(s), a flapped aperture(s) or notch(es); and where the water serves as a stabilizing ballast. A length of the elongate water filled flute channels is reduced to permit a quicker purging of any randomly moving air pockets (68) to provide a more consistent uniformly stabilized combination floor and hull.

  • Patent number: 7381749
Abstract: Disclosed herein are carbonyl compounds of having the structural formula: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, amide, ester, or prodrug thereof, Methods and compositions are disclosed for treating disease states including, but not limited to cancers, autoimmune diseases, tissue damage, central nervous system disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, fibrosis, bone disorders, polyglutamine-repeat disorders, anemias, thalassemias, inflammatory conditions, cardiovascular conditions, and disorders in which angiogenesis play a role in pathogenesis, using the compounds of the invention. In addition, methods of modulating the activity of histone deacetylase (HDAC) are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080083794
Abstract: A removable bottle carrying attachment for a human user's trousers retains a beverage bottle adjacent an exterior surface of a small coin or watch pocket's opening. The tightly confined space within the almost inaccessible pocket defines a retaining sleeve which secures the planar structural integrity of the carrier's thin substrate as it slides vertically and limitedly upwards to sufficiently expose its bottle gripping aperture to surround a bottle's cap stop rim. A preferred embodiment's planar, elongate, flexible polymer substrate body parallels an elongate slot located centeredly near one distal end, and with a bottle gripping aperture located near an uppermost and opposite end. A preferred means for fastening the carrier to an interior area of the pocket is a cloth piercing two part dungaree button which extends through the pocket's exterior cloth and the elongate slot to allow application by a user.

  • Patent number: 7309364
Abstract: A foldable paddle blade and shaft comprises a planar elongate polymer plastic substrate with two angularly directioned weakened hinge lines (71) which extend inwardly and angularly from a location at or near one elongate end of the substrate's lateral edges to form a blade with sidewalls (46) and a free terminal end (30). Paralleling weakened hinge lines (72) parallel and traverse the at least three faceted tubular shaft (50),(51). In an alternative embodiment, additional paralleling weakened hinge lines (72),(73) and tabular projections (42) may form a four faceted or square shape tubular shaft (52). The paddle blade's three faceted or more eccentric tubular shaft's shape may be in a triangular, a square, or an open sided c-channel shape. A difference in axis between the paddle blade's planar axis and the shaft's elongate axis further strengthens the overall structure in at least one direction.

  • Publication number: 20040238578
Abstract: A beverage bottle clothing clip for attaching a plastic bottle container to a person's belt, pants pocket or waistband; being particularly purposed for cost effective mass production and disposable use. Two apertures; one primary and gripping aperture, and one secondary aperture, and a connecting slit are located at one end of an elongate, flexible, planar plastic substrate; with a locking bend formed perpendicularly to and within the immediate area of said slit and secondary aperture. Said primary gripping aperture of said bent flexible substrate is controllably sizeable for easy application to, and removal from the underside of a bottleneck cap stop rim. As the user straightens the bent clip by hand, the directionally planar axis of said gripping aperture begins to merge with that of said slit and secondary aperture, wherein both apertures and connecting slit combine to form an aperture larger than said primary aperture.

  • Publication number: 20040194363
Abstract: A cylindrically curved self supporting changeable indicia substrate retaining display for securing and displaying a variety of printed indicia substrates; more particularly, as a changeable golf sponsor display; comprising an indicia substrate retaining appendage formed by a completely through cut, and tear preventive, indicia substrate retaining slit in a single flexible display substrate. Said indicia substrate is secured by surrounding and retained curvature stresses when subjected to directionally predetermined compression; with all tensions retained by a ground penetrating fixed width wire rod leg set that is vertically invertable and or retractable for use as an indoor self supporting display.
