Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a thermal management device having a controller to monitor pressure parameters for hot and cold rooms where the hot and cold rooms are divided by a rack for electronic devices and are substantially isolated from each other, and adjust a flow of cooling air to the cold room where the adjustment of the flow of cooling air to the cold room is based at least in part on the pressure parameters and maintaining a target pressure differential between the hot and cold rooms and where the target pressure differential induces a flow of the cooling air through one or more electronic devices in the rack.
