Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for a power control and distribution unit (PCDU) of a spacecraft that has a microcontroller to control battery charging from solar arrays. Using a microcontroller within the PCDU reduces the complexity of the PCDU. The microcontroller may be programmable and reprogrammable, which allows the charging of the battery to be adapted to various conditions. For example, the microcontroller can be programmed in accordance with the mission to optimize battery charging for that mission.

Abstract: Beat detection in audio streams for various applications: (i) to encourage desired athletic parameters, such as target or current heart rate, during training or workout by adjusting tempo of accompanying music; (ii) to monitor operating conditions of mechanical devices which inherently include vibrations; (iii) to synchronize audio play-out beat rate to mechanical device beat rate.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of multi-threaded data processing operation partitions each data processing module into at least five sub-modules including (1) receiving messages, (2) processing received messages, (3) getting resources for module function, (4) performing a core data processing operation of the module and (5) outputting resources generated. These modules are launched and retired as needed in a multi-threaded environment. A framework includes APIs for the module and each sub-module. The message and data handling sub-modules are optionally shared among modules.

The user reviews the audio files located on the CD, selects the songs that will be included in the playlist, determines the sequence or order of playback for those selected audio files, and places the playlist in a selected memory location such as the CD, or the local memory of the CD player. The user may then access the playlist and playback audio files in accordance with the playlist.
