Abstract: A compressible backpack comprising: at least one airtight sealable compartment; an air nozzle on each sealable compartment, where the air nozzle provides a means to withdraw air from the compartment; and a pump, where said pump connects to the air nozzle on each compartment and removes excess air from the compartment. The compressible backpack may further including shoulder straps. The pump may include either a hand pump or a battery operated power pump.
