  • Patent number: 4558890
Abstract: A multi-port hydraulic swivel joint (10) in which a high pressure flow channel (34) is located adjacent an enclosed end (15a) of the swivel joint, the pressure in the return line is maintained at a low level to provide low pressure fluid which is transmitted through a flow channel (37) adjacent to an open end of the swivel joint, and the return flow channel (36) is located between the other two. A passageway (43) communicates fluid which has seeped to a cavity between the high pressure flow channel and the enclosed end to the return flow channel (36), a raceway (44) with steel balls (46) resist forces tending to separate the stator (30) and rotor (40) of the swivel joint, and a lip seal (49) with grease packing seals the low pressure flow channel (37) from the open end (15) of the swivel joint.

  • Patent number: 4522570
Abstract: A peristaltic pump (10) having two side-by-side mounted pump cells (11 and 12). Each pump cell includes a plurality of rollers (16) that contact an array of hoses (19 and 21) to urge fluid substances through said hoses in a peristaltic pumping action. A drive unit (24) causes the operable rotation of the first pump cell (11), and geared interaction between the two cells causes the second pump cell (12) to operably rotate. The gears (13) include nylon bearing surfaces (32) for the rollers (16).

  • Patent number: 4481756
Abstract: A combine harvester having a tube type sensor the full width of its chaffer sieve for detecting grain loss through the vertical area between the tail end thereof and the underside of the straw walker, comprises a carrier to which the sensor is mounted and structure providing for manual positioning thereof by the harvester operator within said area at will. In another embodiment a stationary tube sensor is mounted somewhat above the chaffer sieve tail end to also indicate the effect of excessive fan speed on grain loss.
