  • Patent number: 4420519
Abstract: There is disclosed a napkin retainer which is a composite adhesive tape. The napkin retainer comprises a tape portion with adhesive on both sides and top and bottom protective covers each having a release coating on one side. The tape portion is sandwiched between the protective covers with the release agent in contact with the adhesive. The protective covers each have a hinge strip at one end without release material so that the covers are permanently attached at the hinge strip. Pick tabs are provided on the other end of the protective covers remote from the hinge strip.

  • Patent number: 4300528
Abstract: An improvement to the enclosure of fireplace apertures is provided by a sealing strip which engages pivotable glass doors having metallic frames and the frame of the fireplace enclosure. This sealing strip may be a lightweight gauge of brass, bronze, aluminum alloy, steel alloy, or other material capable of withstanding the heat of combustion inside the fireplace but having sufficient spring tension to effect a seal. The strip extends around the entire junction of the glass doors with the fireplace enclosure frame. The sealing strip is insertable into the conjunction of the glass with the glass door frame. Optionally, the strip may extend between moving doors to complete the sealing operation.

  • Patent number: 4223402
Abstract: A clock hand linkage and support assembly (10) for use with a clock drive mechanism (11) having limited driving torque and power supply and which rotationally increments a hand (14) in discrete intervals through a drive shaft (12) includes a hub (13) having a central portion (20) through which the drive shaft (12) may pass for free rotation about the drive shaft (12) and at least one angle bracket stay (24) for support of the hand (14). A compliant fastener (16) biases the hand (14) into flexible engagement with the angle bracket stay (24) preventing damage during shipment. A resilient drive linkage (18) is coupled to the drive shaft (12) by interference fit and is biased against the hub (13) by the compliant fastener (16) whereby the hand (14) may continually rotate with the hub (13) in controlled relation to the incremental movement of the drive shaft (12).
