Abstract: A 6 GHz Wi-Fi device must obtain operability information to operate at a location. Providing a user with an operability indicator for a 6 GHz Wi-Fi device at a location can conserve resources and enhance the quality of experience for a user. A user interface can receive a location input from a user interface, for example, a user input or pre-filled information. The location can be determined based on the location input, for example, one or more location parameters. The one or more location parameters can be previously stored or retrieved from, for example, a network resource, such as a geocoding service. The user interface can provide an operability indicator to the user interface that indicates whether the 6 GHz Wi-Fi device is operable at one or more 6 GHz frequencies and a transmit power associated with allowed or permitted one or more 6 GHz frequencies.
