  • Patent number: 5628846
Abstract: A self-forming self-adhering pull bow having a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on facing sides of the drawstrings. After the bow is formed, the drawstrings are separated to enable the pressure sensitive adhesive coated sides of the drawstrings to be applied to the object to adhere the bow to the object.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 17, 1995
Date of Patent: May 13, 1997
Assignee: Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company
Inventors: Charles P. Huss, Arthur L. Fry, Steven R. Leseman
  • Patent number: 5614274
Abstract: A preformed self-adhering bow having a preformed bow member and at least one application band attached to the bow member. The at least one application band includes a layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive for adhering the bow to an object.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 6, 1996
Date of Patent: March 25, 1997
Assignee: Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company

  • Patent number: 4571059
Abstract: Apparatus for transferring images of conductive toner powder from a layer carried by a rotatable, electrically conductive member to a dielectric material carried by a rotatable, electrically conductive, cylindrical member. A d.c. voltage supply is connected between the two conductive members and the two members are positioned so the layer on the one and the dielectric material on the other are separated by a slight air space.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4418357
Abstract: A toner powder transport system provides continual magnetic controlled movement of magnetically attractable toner powder from a toner reservoir to an imaging styli array plus return of unused toner powder to the toner reservoir. A nonrotatable cylindrical member carries the imaging styli array. A rotating magnetic means within the nonrotatable cylinder causes toner brought to the nonrotatable cylinder to move around the nonrotatable cylinder and over the styli array. A magnetic transport means is disposed between the toner reservoir and the nonrotatable cylinder for bringing toner powder from the toner reservoir for magnetic transfer to the nonrotatable cylinder and magnetically removes unused toner powder from the nonrotatable cylinder for return by the magnetic transport means to the toner reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4179118
Abstract: Apparatus and method for a drum-type facsimile machine having a clamping mechanism for clamping an edge portion of sheet material to the drum and gripping arms operated for removal of the sheet material for gripping the paper to inhibit its movement with the drum. The gripping action is timed to be present during the unclamping of the sheet material. The clamping mechanism, when moved to its unclamped position, causes a limited rotation to be imparted to the drum to free the clamped edge portion of the sheet material from the drum for withdrawal from the apparatus by the operator.
