A programmable ball is provided with an exterior shell with a top and a bottom and an interior. Two light sources are attached to a circuit board in the interior such that, when activated, light from one light source overlaps light from another light source. A power source is connected with the two light sources and circuit board combination and a transceiver is connected with the circuit board, the transceiver configured to transmit to, and receive data from, the remote controller.
