Notification can be received outside the application, e.g., by posting notification on a social network, posting notification to a web site, and posting a message to a user's avatar in a virtual world. A selection can be received while the device is offline, in which case the new content displayed is that content stored on the device.

Abstract: A method of provisioning a computing device based on a health condition of a user is described herein. The method can include the steps of receiving health information from the user in which the health information is related to the health condition of the user and automatically generating health content that is based on the health information from the user. The health content can be delivered to the computing device of the user, and the progress of the user can be monitored with respect to the health condition of the user. The user's progress may be at least partly based on the user's use of the health content. Based on the monitoring of the progress of the user, the health content can be automatically dynamically managed to account for changes or lack of changes in the health condition of the user.

Abstract: A method and system for provisioning a computing device based on location is disclosed herein. The computing device may be provisioned with first content based on a first location. The method includes the step of detecting a first change in the location of the computing device such that the computing device transitions from the first location to a second location. The method also includes the step of—in response to the detection of the first change in the location—identifying second content based on the second location. As an example, the second content may be at least partially based on the customs of the second location. In addition, the method also includes the step of provisioning the computing device with the second content such that the computing device is configured to at least partially operate in accordance with the customs of the second location.

Abstract: A method and system for delegating functionality in a delegate computing device is described herein. The delegate computing device may have access to first content while in a normal operation state. The method includes the steps of receiving a delegation notification and—in response to the receipt of the delegation notification—transitioning the delegate computing device from the normal operation state to a delegation state. While in the delegation state, the delegate computing device may have access to second content that is associated with a primary computing device. The method also includes the steps of receiving a cessation notification and—in response to the receipt of the cessation notification—transitioning the delegate computing device from the delegation state back to the normal operation state. While back in the normal operation state, the delegate computing device no longer has access to at least some portion of the second content.

Abstract: Methods and electronic devices for facilitating email account configuration are described. In one aspect, a first electronic device establishes a connection with an administration server that stores email information received from a second electronic device. The first electronic device then receives the email information from the administration server, and subsequently populates one or more interface elements in an account configuration interface of an email application based on the received email information for email account setup of one or more email addresses.

Abstract: A method for visually rendering data on a display of a mobile device having a native client user interface (UI) may include storing application data on a backend data server without visual attribute formatting associated therewith, and generating visual attribute formatting rules for storage on an application proxy server so that application data retrieved from the backend data server has the visual attribute formatting rules applied thereto. At least one application for the mobile device may be generated that is configured to at least cause the mobile device to retrieve the stored application data having the visual attribute formatting rules applied thereto from the backend data server via the application proxy server, and visually render on the display of the mobile device the retrieved application data having the visual attribute formatting rules applied thereto using the native client UI and without visual attribute formatting by the at least one application.
