  • Patent number: 7786848
Abstract: A complementary security system for installation, at least in part in a vehicle, has an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) security system installed therein. The complementary security system for communicating an alarm condition beyond the communication range of the OEM security system. The complementary security system comprising: a control module for receiving a trigger signal being indicative of the alarm condition detected by the OEM security system; a communication module for transmitting by Radio Frequency (RF) an alert signal upon receipt of the trigger signal by the control module; and a remote transmitter for alerting a user upon receipt of the alert signal. The remote transmitter being located beyond the communication range of the OEM security system. A corresponding method is also described.

  • Publication number: 20080083835
Abstract: The rail track tie including: a rigid block presenting a bottom face, and a top face for receiving at least one longitudinal rail; a cover for receiving the rigid block and in the form of a rigid shell including a bottom and a peripheral rim around the bottom; and a resilient soleplate disposed between the bottom face of the rigid block and the bottom of the cover. The resilient soleplate has dynamic stiffness k2 lying in the range of 6 kN/mm to 10 kN/mm, and preferably in the range of 6 kN/mm to 8 kN/mm.

  • Publication number: 20070016342
Abstract: An interface system to a vehicle data bus having a communication range greater than a communication range between an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) transceiver and an OEM remote control device already integrated in a vehicle. The interface system comprises a remote control device, a control module transceiver and a control module. The range-extension of the system is performed by either having receivers with higher detection sensitivity or transmitters emitting signals at higher powers, or a combination of both. The interface system has a control module that can communicate with either one of, or both, the data bus and the function control module of the vehicle. Finally, the interface system also permits a bi-directional communication scheme between the remote control device and the control module transceiver.
