  • Publication number: 20250047946
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described herein for generating, for presentation at a particular computing device, a display of a live program and determining that the display of the live program at the particular computing device is delayed in relation to a live program stream of the live program. Interactive content related to a particular event that is to occur in the live program stream of the live program may be received, the interactive content enabling selection of a predicted outcome of the particular event. Prior to presentation of the particular event in the display of the live program at the particular computing device, the interactive content may be generated for presentation at the particular computing device, and a selection of the predicted outcome is received. Based on determining an outcome of the particular event, an indication of whether the predicted outcome was correct may be generated for presentation.

  • Publication number: 20250032905
Abstract: A personal safe area is determined for extended reality (XR) devices, such as head mounted devices in virtual reality (VR) sessions, sharing a common larger play area. The personal safe areas may be sized based on user size, may have radii centered on the XR device and parallel to a floor, and may move with the XR device as the XR device moves in an immersive reality session. A notification indicating proximity to another XR device may be generated, and the notification may indicate the direction from which the other XR device is approaching. Also contemplated is real time adjusting an XR gameplay, game display or game flow of one or more XR devices to avoid overlap of safe spaces by shifting virtual game objects in a safer direction.

  • Publication number: 20250001363
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to membrane based electrodialytic desalinators, systems incorporating electrodialytic desalinators, and methods for the selective removal of mobile phase buffer/salt constituents in liquid chromatography that can be used to retain larger charged molecules such as proteins prior to mass spectrometric detection. According to some aspects, systems can include dialysis membranes (DMs) paired with ion exchange membranes (IEMs). The DMs can be in contact with an effluent channel and prevent loss of large charged molecules to the IEMs. Ions can be removed under an applied electric field using electrodes along the flow channel.

  • Patent number: 11287403
Abstract: A permeative amine/acid introduction device (PAID) is placed after a conventional KOH eluent suppressed conductometric anion chromatography (SCAC) system. The PAID converts the suppressed eluites from the acid form to the corresponding salt. For example, when the analytes are acids, they are converted to the corresponding ammonium salt (NR2H+HX?NR2H2++X?) and allows very weak acids HX (pKa?7.0) that cannot normally be detected by SCAC to be measured by a second conductivity detector following the PAID. Permeative reagent introduction is dilutionless, can be operated without pumps and provides good mixing with low band dispersion (as small as 30 ?L). An exemplary amine is diethylamine (DEA), which was chosen as the amine source due to its low pKb value (pKb 3.0), high vapor pressure, and low toxicity and low odor.

  • Publication number: 20210405003
Abstract: A method of converting longer path cell signal data to shorter path cell signal data comprising: obtaining a longer path absorbance signal tracing and a shorter path absorbance signal tracing for at least one analyte band under the same conditions; obtaining an approximate superimposable match between the longer path absorbance signal tracing and the shorter path absorbance signal tracing using an amplitude scaling factor and one or more parameters derived from a dispersion model that accounts for dispersion differences between a short cell and a long cell; and applying the dispersion model in reverse using the derived parameters to future longer path absorbance signal traces from the longer path cell signal data to generate the shorter path cell signal data.

  • Patent number: 11129454
Abstract: An electronic assembly for a cover supported by a pole is disclosed. The pole defines a top portion associated with a cover and an opposing bottom portion that engages a support surface such as a floor. The electronic assembly may comprise an electronic fan defining a fan body housing a motor that rotates a hub associated with collapsible fan blades. The pole may extend through the body so that the hub rotates about an axis defined by the pole. The body may further slide up and down the pole and engage the pole at a first latch point where it stays while deployed and operating. A power source may be provided to supply the power needed to rotate the hub. A sensor may be disposed at or adjacent to the first latch point and the electronic fan may be disabled when the sensor does not sense the fan body.

  • Publication number: 20210022637
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for determining an efficacy of a stimulus based on one or more measurable physiological responses to one or more stimuli including one or more stimulus features. Data is acquired on physiological responses of a group of one or more subjects to presentation of one or more stimuli including one or more stimulus features. The data on the one or more physiological responses of the one or more subjects is correlated with the presentation of the one or more stimulus features included in the one or more stimuli. The correlated data on the one or more physiological responses are associated with a separately-determined efficacy of the one or more stimuli to form a stimulus efficacy model. From this information, a projected efficacy of a stimulus is determinable by comparing one or more subsequently-measured physiological responses to the stimulus with the stimulus efficacy model.

  • Publication number: 20210015646
Abstract: Provided are devices and related methods for weight loss. A size-varying gastric balloon is deployed in the stomach and a malabsorption sleeve is deployed in the small intestine. In some embodiments, the malabsorption sleeve is connected directly to the balloon. In other embodiments, the malabsorption sleeve is detached from the balloon and both are tethered to a transabdominal gastric cannula via a nutrient injection tube and a fluid conduit, respectively. The fluid conduit serves as pathway to introduce and remove fluid to/from the balloon as desired, and to tether the balloon in the stomach during use. The injection tube serves to facilitate controlled nutrition supply through the transabdominal gastric cannula to the small intestine, and to tether the malabsorption sleeve in the small intestine during use. Methods of using and deploying the devices described herein for weight-loss are also provided.
