Abstract: A pump-type device for distributing or spraying a product has first and second chambers which receive the product and a distribution fluid (gas), respectively. First and second pistons pressurize the product and the distribution fluid in the chambers as the movable member of the pump assembly begins moving in a first (downward) direction, then distribution passageways are opened to allow discharge of the product and the distribution fluid. Reverse movement of the movable member allows a subsequent dose of the product and distribution fluid to refill the chambers. The device is particularly well suited for spraying of relatively viscous products.

Abstract: An assembly for the storage and application of a cosmetic product. The assembly includes: a body which is provided with an opening and includes a reservoir capable of containing the product; an applicator capable of coming into contact with the product and of being charged with a given amount thereof and retaining structure for ridding the applicator of excess product. The applicator has a rod carrying a product-application structure which is to apply the product, the structure for retaining the product being connected to the body and/or to the rod. The field of use of the invention is that of cosmetics, more especially that of "mascaras" to be applied to eyelashes.

Abstract: The device concerned is for pumping a fluid, and it comprises a piston (206) movable in a metering chamber (208). This piston is driven by a motor through coupling means which include a rotating head (236), provided with a guide path (238) at least locally slanting relative to the axis of the device, as well as a driving part (240) connected with the piston and moving along the guide path.

Abstract: The invention relates to a casing including an enclosure with its cover having a hinge a spring for controlling the opening of the cover and a mechanism for cushioning the opening movement of the cover. The mechanism for cushioning the open movement includes at least one substantially resilient foam block and/or flexion spring disposed in the casing so as to act during the substantial portion of the opening travel of the cover whilst absorbing the energy imparted thereto for its opening.

Abstract: Device for dispensing and dosing a product, comprising a first valve disposed across the aperture of the receptable; a slide system comprising a fixed part and a movable part including a piston sliding into a zone of said fixed part delimiting externally a dosing chamber, said piston having therethrough a passage for the communication of said dosing chamber with the outside; and a second valve associated with said piston for opening the communication between said dosing chamber and the outside when said piston slides down for compressing the product contained in said chamber and closing off said communication when the piston is slides up.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a casing with invisible hinge, wherein the receptacles respectively of the two hinge axes are made in one of the side walls of an inner element and emerge outwardly to permit the introduction of the axes of the hinge respectively into the two receptacles during the fitting of the two half-casings forming the casing. An outer element fits on the inner element to completely close both receptacles at one of its corresponding side walls, thus rendering the hinge invisible from the outside.

Abstract: Disclosed is R.F. sputtering apparatus for etching the surface of an object, the apparatus comprising a vacuum chamber with the conventional vacuum creating means associated therewith as well as a pump for supplying an ionizable gas into the vacuum chamber. An R.F. power supply is connected to a plate like cathode electrode in the chamber, the plate including a plurality of object supports extending therethrough and including means for holding an object to be etched. A luminescent discharge area, including a Crooks dark space area has a thickness "e" surrounding the plate and the object being etched, the objects being etched being spaced one from the other by a distance "d".ltoreq.2"e". The objects being etched are also preferably supported a distance "h" from the cathode (plate) wherein "h".gtoreq.2"e" whereby ion bombardment of the cathode electrode during the sputter operation is inhibited. Also disclosed is a method for employing the above described apparatus.
