Publication number: 20250108223Abstract: Presented herein are implantable housing arrangements that are configured to receive and retain an implantable magnet therein, while also facilitating both in-plane rotation and out-of-plane rotation of the implantable magnet in the presence of external magnetic, such as that applied with an MRI. That is, the housing arrangements presented herein allow a planar (e.g., conventional/standard) implantable magnet to rotate circumferentially around a central axis of the implantable magnet (in-plane rotation), as well as angularly rotate relative to the central axis (out-of-plane rotation). The in-plane rotation and out-of-plane rotation can reduce torque during an MRI because the magnet is able to rotate so as to more closely align with the applied MRI magnetic field, resulting in less pain and less risk of tissue or device damage.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2022Publication date: April 3, 2025Inventors: Charles Roger Aaron LEIGH, Anthony POWELL, Kenneth OPLINGER

Patent number: 10188544Abstract: Described is a penile implement that can be implemented as both a catheter device and a prophylactic device. The penile implement is formed of a top polyurethane film, with a bottom polyurethane film that is RF welded to the top film such that a reservoir exists between the films. An adhesive layer formed on the bottom film and a bottom release layer covers the adhesive layer. Further, a hole is formed in the bottom film. Thus, during use, a user may remove the bottom release layer and adhere the bottom film with a user's penis such that bodily fluids secreted from the user's penis pass through the hole and into the reservoir formed between the top film and bottom film.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2016Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: POWELL DEVELOPMENT GROUP, INC.Inventor: Charles Powell

Patent number: 10083721Abstract: A method for reducing susceptibility to vibration for a storage device is provided. The method includes running a performance test to the storage device over a predetermined range of vibration frequencies and determining there is a frequency of concern for the storage device. The method also includes establishing resonant frequencies of the storage device and determining if a resonant frequency of the storage device corresponds to the frequency of concern. If a resonant frequency corresponds to the frequency of concern, then the method includes reducing stiffness of a plurality of mounting members coupled to the storage device and repeating running the performance test, determining there is a frequency of concern, determining a resonant frequency overlaps a frequency of concern, and reducing stiffness of the plurality of mounting members until one of there are no frequencies of concern and a resonant frequency does not correspond to a frequency of concern.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2015Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: Seagate Technology LLCInventors: Christopher Ellis Schroeder, Charles Powell Morris, Kevin Lee Van Pelt
