Publication number: 20230341859Abstract: Systems and methods provide an autonomous vehicle for operation in an airport. The autonomous vehicle includes a frame, a platform coupled to the frame and configured to support a load, a plurality of obstacle depth sensors positioned relative to the frame and together configured to detect obstacles 360 degrees about the frame, an obstacle planar sensor positioned relative to the frame and configured to detect obstacles in a horizontal plane about the frame, and an electronic processor coupled to the plurality of obstacle depth sensors and the obstacle planar sensor. The electronic processor is configured to operate the autonomous vehicle based on obstacles detected by the plurality of obstacle depth sensors and the obstacle planar sensor.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: John Charles Pratt, JR., Jacob Saul Blacksberg, Kellen Schroeter, Andrew Mularoni, Corinne Kenwood, Josh Wende, Andrew Hoffman, Arjun Gandhi, John Klinger

Patent number: 10623380Abstract: Media and methods for securely providing third-party applications, such as health based service applications, with electronic medical records (EMRs), or discrete information therein, of an individual is provided. To facilitate the secure transfer of medical records, a universal security manager is described. The universal security manager may act as an intermediary between a healthcare service facility, such as a hospital, and the third-party application. A secure link for transferring EMRs from the healthcare service facility to the universal security manager may be established using a secure linking code. The third-party application may be validated as a trusted third-party application by the universal security manager based on a set of security criteria. The universal security manager may provide the EMR information from an EMR system associated with the healthcare service facility to the trusted third-party application based on a set of permissions created and/or maintained by a user.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2017Date of Patent: April 14, 2020Assignee: Cerner Innovation, Inc.Inventors: Douglas Charles Pratt, Amaresh Vakul Vakulabharanam

Patent number: 9896850Abstract: One exemplary embodiment is directed to a thermoplastic-based building product having a front face with a length and a width, an opposing back face, opposing top and bottom edges each with a thickness. The building product comprises at least one thermoplastic-based support layer, and at least one reinforcing flexing layer having a coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CLTE) of less than or equal to about 15 ppm/° C. over the temperature range of ?20° C. to 70° C. The at least one reinforcing flexing layer is at least partially embedded in the at least one thermoplastic-based support layer along a longitudinal axis of the building product.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2015Date of Patent: February 20, 2018Assignee: Americhem, Inc.Inventors: Brian Guhde, Craig Dennis, Charles Pratt

Publication number: 20160030684Abstract: A luer adapter fitting has a luer at one end and an elongate cylindrical insert at another end. The insert has a plurality of longitudinal ribs spatially formed about the insert. Each of the ribs has a sharp longitudinal edge. A needle extends from the end of the insert away from the luer. The luer adapter fitting is press-fitted to an internally threaded through bore at the neck of a tube holder. The circumferential dimension formed by the plurality of ribs is larger than the opening of the threaded through bore, so that when the insert is press-fitted to the through bore, the longitudinal sharp edges of the ribs would score the threads at the through bore to prevent relative rotation between the fitting and the holder. A flange at the insert snap catches onto the interior shoulder of the holder to fixedly couple the insert to the holder.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2015Publication date: February 4, 2016Applicant: SMITHS MEDICAL ASD, INC.Inventor: Charles Pratt

Publication number: 20130266135Abstract: A system for DNA sequence identification hides personal and medical characteristics. A DNA sequencer processes a biological sample to provide genetic data identifying biological sample genetic marker variations of multiple different markers from corresponding reference markers. An encoding processor one way encrypts the genetic data into an encrypted code using an encryption key. A comparator compares the encrypted code with multiple encrypted codes retrieved from storage to identify a match and biological sample source. The multiple encrypted codes are derived by encrypting genetic data of multiple different biological samples using the encryption key and the multiple different biological samples are associated with corresponding identifiers of their respective biological sample sources.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2012Publication date: October 10, 2013Applicant: SIEMENS MEDICAL SOLUTIONS USA, INC.Inventor: Douglas Charles Pratt

Patent number: 7392237Abstract: A system dynamically maps (and translates) codes and identifier values of any type to corresponding codes and identifiers of other entities. A method for determining a specific identifier code for an object associated with a plurality of identifier codes by a corresponding plurality of entities involves receiving a first message including at least a first identifier code identifying an object. The first identifier code is extracted from the received first message and a second message is generated incorporating the extracted first identifier code. The second message is used for initiating a search of an identifier code database mapping an identifier code associated with a first entity to a corresponding identifier code associated with a second entity. A second identifier code corresponding to the first identifier code is received in response to communicating the second message for initiating a search of the identifier code database.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2001Date of Patent: June 24, 2008Assignee: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.Inventor: Douglas Charles Pratt
