Patent number: 6902493Abstract: A laser device for teaching and improving the putting stroke of a golfer. The device includes a housing having a power source, an on/off switch a laser, a reflective surface rotatable by a handle and a lever system, a P.C. board and a switch to prevent the laser from being accidentally shone in the eyes of other persons. The device places a light dot on a golf ball or target area and indicates any undesirable body or head motion that will be noted by movement of the light dot by a golfer while standing over and stroking a putter with an aligned sweet spot. The device also allows a golfer to use a light dot to draw an imaginary line between a golf ball being struck and a cup to improve a golfer's visualization of the travel line of the ball after stroking it with the aligned putter sweet spot.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2004Date of Patent: June 7, 2005Inventors: Charles R. Rhodes, Paul H. Warner, Vincent J. Tringali, Arthur J. Zanello

Patent number: 6769995Abstract: A putter guide device and method for improving the putting stroke of a golfer. The device includes a flat mat having an opening at one end and a pair of perpendicular lines forming a “T” intersection. A pair of guide walls are magnetically held on the flat mat to enable a golfer to stroke a putter along a horizontal line between the pair of guide walls to repeatedly and accurately hit a golf ball held in the opening with the putter sweet spot. The method includes the use of the teaching device first without the guide walls and a golf ball, then with one guide wall and a golf ball and then with both guide walls. The guide walls may be adjusted to allow more or less space for a putter head being stroked therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2002Date of Patent: August 3, 2004Inventors: Charles R. Rhodes, Paul H. Warner, Vincent J. Tringali, Arthur J. Zanello, Daniel Burke

Patent number: 5951286Abstract: Disclosed is a device for the removal of dental dowel pins that consists of a hollow boring bit for use with an otherwise conventional dental drill. The inside diameter of the hollow bit is of a size sufficient to accept a dental dowel pin of a conventional size, thus providing a means by which to bore around a dowel in order to remove it from the tooth structure in which it is implanted.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1998Date of Patent: September 14, 1999Inventor: Charles R. Rhodes

Patent number: 4686439Abstract: An electronic control system for a multiple speed fluid pump and motor. A parameter of the motor, the pump, or the fluid which is expelled from the pump is measured by a sensor. When a predetermined value of the parameter is reached, the sensor provides a trip signal to a timer circuit. The timer circuit provides a drive signal to a switch while the trip signal is present and for a specified period of time after the trip signal is removed. The switch, while it is receiving the drive signal, connects the motor driving the pump into a high speed configuration. After the specified period of time, the switch will cause the motor to change to low speed operation.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 1985Date of Patent: August 11, 1987Assignee: A. T.
