    Abstract: A lighting device includes an outer assembly, a light emitting device, and a contact. The outer assembly extends between a base end and a light emitting end. The outer assembly includes a contact carrier sub-assembly that extends from the base end to an outer end disposed proximate to the light emitting end. The light emitting device is disposed proximate to the light emitting end of the outer assembly. The contact is held in the contact carrier sub-assembly and extends from the base end of the outer assembly to the outer end of the contact carrier subassembly. The contact is electrically coupled with the light emitting device to provide a continuous electrically conductive path from the base end of the outer assembly to the outer end of the contact carrier sub-assembly. The contact is configured to supply electric current to the light emitting device.

An end cap connector extends from the end cap body. The end cap connector holds contacts having first mating portions configured to be electrically connected to the circuit board and second mating portions configured to be electrically connected to the socket connector.
