  • Patent number: 11537191
Abstract: Technologies for providing advanced management of power usage limits in a disaggregated architecture include a compute device. The compute device includes circuitry configured to execute operations associated with a workload in a disaggregated system. The circuitry is also configured to determine whether a present power usage of the compute device is within a predefined range of a power usage limit assigned to the compute device. Additionally, the circuitry is configured to send, to a device in the disaggregated system and in response to a determination that the present power usage of the present compute device is not within the predefined range of the power usage limit assigned to the present compute device, offer data indicative of an offer to reduce the power usage limit assigned to the present compute device to enable a second power utilization limit of another compute device in the disaggregated system to be increased.

  • Publication number: 20210111579
Abstract: A battery that periodically checks an actual battery capacity or energy with charge to a preset voltage (e.g., 4.1 V). The battery then decides the battery capacity or energy. If the capacity or energy is insufficient, then an apparatus in or associated with the battery slightly increases charging voltage to a point where the capacity is sufficient (e.g. from 4.1 V to 4.11 V). The process of periodically checking and slightly increasing charging voltage is performed until charging voltage reaches specification limit (e.g., 4.2 V). The scheme described herein has benefits such as battery longevity can be extended, risk of insufficient energy reserve can be reduced, burst power can be used as long as possible, and/or even higher burst power can be used.

  • Patent number: 10411902
Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a method receives a certificate that identifies a sender system as owning a domain. The method sends an electronic message to the domain identified in the certificate. The electronic message is sent via a mail exchange network that correlates the domain to an address that a true owner of the domain has registered with a mail exchange authority. The method receives a response from the address that the mail exchange network correlates to the domain. The response indicates that the certificate is associated with the true owner of the domain. The method authenticates the sender system as the true owner of the domain based on the response.

  • Patent number: 10129254
Abstract: Certain embodiments disclose a method of provisioning security services for a domain or set of domains. The method comprises sending an electronic message to the domain or set of domains. The electronic message comprising a secret message. The secret message is encrypted using a public key that a certificate server associates with the domain or set of domains. The method further comprises receiving a response from the domain or set of domains. The response comprises data derived by decrypting the secret message using a private key of the domain or set of domains. In response to a determination that the received data corresponds to the secret message sent in the electronic message, the method initiates the provisioning of the security services for the domain or set of domains.
