Patent number: 12299260Abstract: In some implementations, a user device may present, on a user interface (UI) associated with a user account, a first UI element. The user device may detect a user interaction, with the user device, indicating the first UI element. The user device may present, on the UI and based on the user interaction, a second UI element, which increases in length in a first direction from a start point, along a closed path around the first UI element and ending at the start point, while the user interaction is being detected. The second UI element completes the closed path when an interaction duration satisfies a duration threshold, which indicates a confirmation of a request for an action associated with the user account. The duration threshold is based on one or more parameters associated with one or more of the action, the user account, or the user interaction.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2023Date of Patent: May 13, 2025Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Erik Jay Salazar De Leon, Thomas Dohan, II, Charles Richard Hollins, Jennifer Wilkens, Albert Berger, John Heiner

Publication number: 20250104252Abstract: Techniques for performing fine-scale movement tracking of underwater objects are described. A computing device or system may receive timestamps corresponding to acoustic signals detected using an underwater acoustic receiver. The device or system may select a period of a known acoustic transmitter, and generate raw image data plotting the timestamps as graphical elements with respect to a first axis corresponding to linear time, and a second axis having a magnitude corresponding to the selected period. A first machine learning (ML) model may process the raw image data to generate segmented image data include a subset of the graphical elements determined to correspond to the selected period. A portion of the segmented image data, including the graphical elements, may be input to a second ML model to generate image data comprising a subset of the graphical elements corresponding to the selected period.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2024Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Oliver Sølund Kirsebom, Kayalvizhi Thanigainathan, Matthew Charles Richard, Frank Ian Smith, David Allen Ouellette, Samuel Victor Johnston

Patent number: 12115269Abstract: An ultraviolet (“UV”) emission device may emit energy towards a movable surface of a conveyor system. A housing of the UV emission device may attach to a frame of the conveyor system. A lateral edge of the housing may extend across the moveable surface. The housing and a portion of the moveable surface may be inclined with respect to the frame. A barrier bracket of the UV emission device may support an absorptive barrier along the lateral edge, the absorptive barrier configured to contact the moveable surface. In a first position of the barrier bracket, the absorptive barrier contacts the moveable surface and the barrier bracket activates an interlock switch. In a second position of the barrier bracket, the barrier bracket deactivates the interlock switch. Responsive to deactivation of the interlock switch, a controller may provide a control signal to decrease power to the UV energy emission element.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2021Date of Patent: October 15, 2024Assignee: ABL Holding Holding LLCInventors: Forrest Starnes McCanless, Charles Richard Shoop, Jr., Yan Rodriguez
