  • Publication number: 20220332388
Abstract: A system comprises a slave cylinder for a motorcycle. The slave cylinder may include a rod with a height which is hydraulically adjustable by a hydraulic pressure adjuster. A motorcycle slave cylinder is also provided which includes a rod having a height. The motorcycle slave cylinder also includes a hydraulic pressure adjuster. The hydraulic pressure adjuster hydraulically adjusts the height of the rod above the motorcycle slave cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20210380196
Abstract: A stand-alone, auxiliary brake system is provided for operating the rear wheel brake of a motorcycle. The auxiliary brake includes an actuator that is connected to a hand lever by a hose. The actuator is mounted to the rear brake using a fastener. A push rod of the actuator is installed onto the rear brake master cylinder replacing the existing push rod. The push rod is attached to a piston, which is mounted inside a cylinder of the actuator. A transfer port on the actuator connects the hose to the cylinder with the fluid inside the hose being pressurized by the hand lever to push the piston to activate the rear brake through the push rod. Thus, the auxiliary brake system provides an efficient and effective braking mechanism through the user's hand actuation without compromising the existing foot pedal braking system.

  • Patent number: 10220909
Abstract: A cable operated left-hand rear brake system for off-road motorbikes and closed-course motorbikes consists of a handlebar-mounted brake lever, a brake cable, a cable perch, and a cable adapter. The handlebar-mounted brake lever provides the user with an alternative method to apply the rear brakes in addition to the existing foot lever. The brake cable is connected to the handlebar-mounted brake lever at a first end and the cable adapter at a second end. The cable adapter is mounted to the existing braking system of the motorbike. Therefore, when the user intends to apply the rear brakes, the handlebar-mounted brake lever is compressed such that the cable adapter pivots to control the existing braking system. The cable perch is used to position and guide the brake cable from the handlebar-mounted brake lever to the cable adapter.
