  • Patent number: 7883279
Abstract: A camera adapter support for supporting a camera in an orientation transverse to its traditional orientation includes a base member shaped and dimensioned for selective attachment to a head of a tripod. The base member includes a first end and a second end. A first upstanding member is secured to the first end of the base member. The first upstanding member includes a first end secured to the first end of the base member and a second end. The first upstanding member includes coupling structure which secures the base of the camera to the first upstanding member. A second upstanding member is secured to the second end of the base member, the second upstanding member including a first end secured to the first end of the base member for selective movement relative thereto and a second end. The second upstanding member includes a plate member and a second transverse plate coupled to the plate member.

  • Patent number: 5775233
Abstract: A stand or platform is integrated directly within the profile of a collapsed tripod riser for easy transport of the device. The tripod riser uses a single center post configuration, with a first support leg rigidly attached thereto and second and third support legs rotatable around the center post support. A unique center post locking system allows multiple-height single-plane nesting of the legs. In addition, the integrated stand is retained within the same plane of the nested support legs and within a cavity created by the interior profile cavity created by the support legs during a collapsed and transport position.

  • Patent number: 5769004
Abstract: A tripod riser support system is integrated directly within a portable stand thus creatinga a more compact, lighter and less expensive tripod riser. A portable stand is used as a support base for both an individual and for support of a tripod by the attachment of additional tripod receiving channels. A user would transport the device to a location where they desire to film a particular event. The legs of the stand would be unfolded and the tripod support channels extended to form three symmetric channels separated by 120 degrees from each other.

  • Patent number: 5653179
Abstract: A tripod is elevated off the ground and supported by a three legged unit so that when opened it cradles the legs and/or the spreader of a tripod. The unit has a base which restricts movement of each of the support legs and an accompanying platform leaf for the purpose of supporting a tripod operator. The unit's legs collapse together and are secured allowing the entire unit to be easily transported. A rotatable center support provides both support and ease-of-use functions.

  • Patent number: 5463945
Abstract: A tripod is elevated off the ground and supported by a three legged unit so that when opened it cradles the legs and/or the spreader of a tripod. The legs of the unit are hinged together along the spinal edge allowing the unit to fold close in a book-type manner. Attached to the unit is a platform leaf for the purpose of supporting a tripod operator. The platform leaf is supported by hinges attached to the top edge of one of the three legs and also by retractable folding legs. The retractable folding legs collapse to a position parallel to the platform leaf and the platform leaf collapses to a position parallel to the legs allowing the entire unit to be easily folded for compact transportation.
